List of Carrie Hyde's Reviews
She seems to have a good knowledge of what the knee joints look like and how they behave given certain circumstances (and draws it out for you - EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.). She's quick to suggest cortisone shots or plasma (which insurance doesn't cover), but when I tried to describe what the symptom(s) feel(s) like when doing XYZ, she interrupts to interject what she believes I feel. She's condescending and defensive. When I asked about the "request an appointment" button on their website (which I've submitted numerous requests with no response - I work the same schedule her office does and can't break away to make personal phone calls during the work day), she got very defensive and accusatory - "yeah, we've reported it. You should have just called - now we're past the 30 days to know if the shot worked or not. I can listen to you bitching about it, or we can move on." Ummm, why don't you take it off your website? I'm here trying to tell you the shot did not work! I've been trying to schedule an appointment for months to tell you the shot did not work! How about actively listening to your patients and what their concern(s) is/are before lecturing?
Dr. Hyde is fantastic. My husband and I have used her for ski injuries since 1996. She is an excellent surgeon and has a good bedside manner. She keeps us on the slopes and in one piece. I wouldn't use anyone else.
Wow. Dr. Hyde blew me away. I am a nurse with 25 years of experience with surgeons. I saw a family friend/orthopedic surgeon for my left knee a year ago and was so unimpressed. He was old school (although about Dr. Hyde's age). He didn't even show me the films and explain them to me (old school). Dr. Hyde's assessment skills were extremely thorough. Her diagnosis made sense based on my symptoms, her assessment and films. She is focused, detailed oriented, brilliant and kind.
Dr. Hyde is not only professional, she knows what she's talking about.I was given her name by recommendation and so glad I followed through with it.The entire staff that work with Dr. Hyde are also professional and take care of their patients to the max.I have already referred friends to Dr. Hyde, as I was impressed by her knowledge on my first visit with her. I highly recommend Dr. Hyde for anyone seeking joint health pain relief.Signed by a very happy patient!
Just an update, since another family member has been back to see the doc for different issues. Dr. Hyde is still an excellent, compassionate, conservative doctor. She has, unfortunately, become incredibly busy, so there are some changes. It will probably take patients a couple of weeks at least to get in to see her, and once in, you may see her about every other appointment, and her Physician's Assistant the other times. Her PA is kind and competent, as well. You may also have to wait awhile for your appointment once you're there, because sometimes she gets behind, depending on patient needs for the day. She's in surgery a couple of days a week.Dr. Hyde has also brought another doc, Dr. Thomas, into her practice, and his schedule was a little more open than hers when we called. The front office is busy and office staff can get a little flustered at times. But their hearts are in the right place. That counts for something.
I have seen Dr. Hyde for two years for my knees. I have been receiving the injections to stave off knee replacement. She has always been very attentive and willing to listen to me and answer all my questions. I highly recommend her.
Took a week to just hear back if they took my insurance. (They don't) She did a good job and I'm happy with my knee surgery from her years ago and I would have considered wading through staff issues to use her again and maybe even pay out of pocket bc of the prior relationship, but after a week of calling just about every day and hearing, "I'll call you right back in 15 minutes, I got your number right here" (Didn't happen, had to call back the net day - again.) after all that I figure its a sign.... Too bad. Anyone know a good knee surgeon that takes Sendero?
dr Hyde is excellent. I have been seeing her for knee pain and after MRI she reviewed all options with me over treatment. she did the best exam on my knee and was clear that I had a large say in my treatment. Her staff is all professional and most helpful. I will recommend her to all my friends for any knee problems. My goal is no surgery and she is supportive of my decision Judy Wheeler
I called to make an appointment as a new patient, and the staff was so rude I decided that if this was my first impression of what it would be like to work with this office, I was better off making an appointment where the staff was cordial and warm. It's a shame because this doctor could be very talented but first impressions go a very long way.
Dr. Hyde (no relation to Dr. Jekyll) :) was a pleasure to deal with. I have 2 bad knees and she took the time to explain an overall strategy for improving my situation with the most conservative methods possible. Definitely not the Dr. to push surgery as an immediate option. I've never waited long and the staff and Dr. were the best!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
