List of Dental Care At Southcrest's Reviews
Very professional! Made me feel comfortable and explained everything that was going on with my mouth perfectly!
First visit, staff and doctor very friendly. Appointment was pain free and everything explained clearly.
Amazing staff, I’m in country for only few days. Due to work travel, I wanted to get some work on my teeth and deep cleaning. I was driving down the road and looked at the clinic sign! thought, I would just stop and give it a shot, without prior search or coordination. I guess it was my lucky day. Beautiful, experienced staff!! managed to get me in and work on my teeth without appointment and while they seemed really busy. Completed the job up to my satisfaction, Dr. treated me like I was a regular customer, very intelligent, and quick.
I recently became a new patient at Dental Care at Southcrest- I rarely write reviews but wanted to take the time to appreciate Dr. Nichols and his outstanding staff. I came to their office following a very poor experience at a different dental office here in Nashville. I felt very anxious, but this quickly went away upon visiting their office- everyone from reception, to my hygienist, and Dr. Nichols were so incredibly kind. I felt cared for and felt that they truly had my best interest at heart. My hygienist was gentle, did a fantastic job and explained everything she was doing. Dr. Nichols spent extra time with me explaining things so that I could better understand. There were no hidden surprises or motives, they were very straightforward and I feel that I can trust them! I received a cleaning and then came back for a filling. My blood pressure was high coming in, and the staff took such great care and extra time to make sure I felt comfortable and brought my blood pressure down for the procedure. I really trust them with my care! If you’re looking for someone new I would absolutely recommend Dr. Nichols and his team!
The staff and everyone in the office was kind, helpful and took care of me.
Great experience, all around! The staff was courteous, friendly and professional from the moment I walked in, to the moment I left. Thank you for taking such good care of me— I am looking forward to my next visit!
Dr. Nichols and his dental assistants were very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I was on the search for a new dental office and I am glad I went with this one. Dr. Nichols gave great advice on what was needed and for long term care as well. 10/10
The starts are for the social aspect of this dental office. EXCEPTIONALLY kind. My issue is with the dental experience and the rating should reflect that since this is a dentist and not a social club. I felt like I was being upsold at every turn. Even to the point of trying to be convinced I had issues I didn’t really have. One example of that is grinding my teeth at night I’m being told that I need to have a guard to sleep in. They pointed out some extra wear on my lower teeth, but I know that is from gritting my teeth, which is during the daytime, nothing to do with teeth grinding at night. I also had three cavities redone, this was almost 2 years ago, and I still have pain and sensitivity in those three teeth that I’ve never had in my life before. Those fillings were 20 years old and doing just fine. Those teeth did not bother me until they decided to refill them. It also took about four months for them to stop trying to bill us for something that they advertised as a promotional discount. I personally had to call four times to tell them we’re not paying it, because we were billed what was due at the office and I ran my card there, so I did not understand why we were still getting billed. A year and a half later, my husband is still trying to dispute the billing attempts. Over the phone they verbally acknowledge that the promotion was for an initial cleaning that was only $50, which is why my husband and I chose to check them out, but we have not been back since then. Way too sales driven and way too pushy to get procedures done with little evidence that issues exist. I was handed paperwork to sign prior to them redoing my fillings, and I asked them where the issue was described, because the form was not filled out on their end, and they did not have a good answer for that, so I can only assume they were hoping I wouldn’t ask. Way too shady— I only have one set of teeth for the rest of my life, and I would not trust them with this establishment
Team was very helpful provided answers to all questions.
My husband, myself, and 3 young children come here. The staff is very friendly and the doctor is very knowledgeable. I would like to give a special recognition to Ms J…she is super friendly, cheerful, and caring. She takes great deal of time to explain things to me and my kids. She has great bedside manners and you can tell she enjoys working with people! My son had to have his 2 front teeth taken out and her and Dr. Nichols were super patient with him because he was scared, as any 7 year old would be. I would definitely recommend this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
