List of Gregory A Mowery's Reviews
I have never had a problem with Dr.Mowery or his staff. I have been a patient for several years. He has always been kind and considerate. I feel like I go to a different doctor than the reviews I have read. But today I called the office desperate for an appointment. I have been sick for a month. Nothing has helped, antibiotics, etc. my last visit was sometime within the last four years. I was told that I am now considered a “new patient” and cannot be seen until December 13, I cried and hung up. So that makes me think I could have been seen earlier had I not been a new patient. I do not feel that I am a new patient. Now I will try to find someone who will see me sooner.
Went for a consultation - he’s condescending, disrespectful, and rude.
Felt very rushed, did not take our concerns seriously and was extremely dismissive of our questions. Would not recommend or go back.
We were disappointed in this visit. We were rushed, didn't feel like our concerns were heard or questions answered. I would not recommend or see this doctor again.
Don’t bother showing up on time, as they sure don’t. Our 10 month old had surgery scheduled for 6:00 am. The nurses and doctors didn’t show up untill almost 7:30 am.
I never got to see Dr. Mowery so I can't really give him a review, but the office staff was disappointing. I had originally made an appointment on a Wednesday for the Nashville location and called back same day to change the appointment to the next day and they did. What found out when I showed up to my appointment (three weeks later) is that he is only at the Nashville location on Wednesdays. I said, "Oh I wasn't aware of that", and one of the receptionists said, "I'm sure I told you that," and I said no you didn't that's why I'm here. They were very defensive and kept telling me it was my fault not theirs. Not one apology or anything to make me want to come back. Oh, and they took my copayment via online before the appointment and it still have not been refunded. They don't even deserve a one star.
He's one of the best, without question. I saw him today to discuss what I alway thought were sinus headaches. He looks at the evidence, asks a lot of question, and clearly explains why he's come to his conclusion, as well as giving an indication of how certain or uncertain he is. The first thing he asked me today was what brought me in to see him now. I have had headaches for years, but rarely go in to see a physician. He was "surgically precise" in his questions. I went into see my pcp a month or so ago with very severe headaches . Had to take a couple of days off. He asked about recent treatment (steroids and antibiotics), whether it helped, asked if anything in the past had helped. He looked at the ctscans with me, said the deviation and bone spur weren't severe, and said he could do surgery to correct it but the liklihood of it reducing the headaches was slim given what he'd seen before. He suggested seeing a neurologist as an option. He left the decision up to me though.
Dr. Mowery found out exactly what was going on with the pain I had been having for 2 years. He is the 4th ENT I have been to and the first who finally listened. He actually did a thorough exam of my neck and jaw to find out the pain was coming from my salivary gland. He had me scheduled for an ultrasound within the week. He is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend him.
On my initial visit with Dr. Mowery, regarding sinus and speech issues, he administered of the numbing medicine, Ponticaine in my right nasal passage, to be able to scope my vocal cords. While the doctor left me in the room, for the numbing to take effect, and check on another patient, I had a terrible reaction to the medicine. My upper right jaw and teeth started numbing, and the medicine also drained into my stomach, causing burning and pain. I also had a sense of tingling throughout my brain, and a confusing, uncomfortable feeling. When Dr Mowery returned after about 20 minutes, I told him how I was feeling and he said he'd never heard of that happening to any other patients. He conducted the nasal throat scoping of my vocal cords, and waited with me until I felt okay to drive home. He assured me the numbness would wear off in about an hour, but it actually took about 6 hours. All the symptom finally wore off, but my stomach was still burning, so I went to the Urgent Care, for assistance later that night.
Our family has been seeing Dr. Mowery for the past 9 years. If you need an ENT for yourself or your kiddos, you should go see him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
