Gregory Mowery's Online Review Report Card

I don't typically write reviews for doctors but Dr. Mowery was incredibly helpful with our son. We have taken him to Dr. Mowery a number of times over the last two years. Dr. Mowery was always professional, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I always appreciated his honesty and he always treated our young son with kindness. My son needed tubes in his ears and Dr. Mowery was able to book the procedure for us within a week or two...much faster than any other doctor in the area. We had great success with the procedure. We would go back to him as adults if we had any issues and certainly take our son back if we needed anything.

Dr. Mowery was very personable and easy to talk with. He listened and answered all our questions without ever making us feel rushed. His staff was top notch too. I would highly recommend him.

Loved the receptionist here. She was the most perfect receptionist I have ever encountered at a doctor's office. She should be the model for all receptionists and for what to look for in a receptionist. Dr. Mowery was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. His room for improvement was that he was a little brash at times, but I appreciate how knowledgeable he was and that he answered all of my questions.

A previous rater complained of him saying she was overweight. Being overweight is very detrimental to one's health. He is a doctor, so makes sense that he would recommend that, since it affects so much of one's entire health and well being. In fact, that's his job...

My son called all morning to request that his files be sent to Vanderbilt. Nobody answered the phone. Finally, my daughter had to go to his office this afternoon to try to get the staff to do what they're supposed to do. They sat there with their deer in the headlights expressions with no explanation for their ineptness. She personally had to leave the office to get forms signed that they should have done. This is some of the worse medical office staff that we've ever had to deal with. You will have to do their work for them if you want to get anything completed.

My husband went to Dr Mowery to have his snoring problem checked out. After over a $100 charge and 5 minutes with Dr Mowery, he was told someone would call to schedule a sleep test. No one ever called. My husband then called his office and left multiple messages over a 6 month period, but no one ever returned his call. I even left a message, but no one returned my call either. Here we are 8 months later with no sleep test and a wasted doctor’s visit that cost more than $100.

Pays attention to everything that you say and is a great listener. Explains well and great bedside manner.

On my first appointment I was kept waiting 55 minutes past my appointment time. No nurses or office staff acted like this was unusual at all, or asked if I'd like to come another day. I asked for updates a couple of times and was told Dr. Mowery's nurse was unavailable. I got up, left, and won't be returning - it's too bad, since I generally love Heritage Medical providers. But I'm not prepared to accept such a bad precedent from a doctor's office that doesn't appear to show any respect for my own time & schedule. It would be different if anyone had checked on me or asked if such a long wait would be a problem.
