Best PCP I ever had
Took me awhile to get in for my first new patient appointment but this is the case with all the Doctors in this area. I really liked Dr. Cumberledge. He was nice, professional and very patient. He went through every item I wanted to discuss on my list and I did not feel rushed. He was worth the wait.
New to the Nashville area. Asked a coworker for a doctor so I could have a family doctor here. Called to set up an appointment. They claim to be accepting new patients. At first, they started to set me up for an appointment in November which they say is the soonest a new patient could see the doctor. Then when I told them I was part of a medical cost-sharing plan, they suddenly told me they don't take self-paying patients. Then said they weren't in the network which doesn't even apply to cost-sharing plans since they aren't actually insurance. They actually pay faster than insurance plans do anyway. They would take me if I had other coverage. Frustrated, I told them to just drop the whole thing and forget it. Then they had the nerve to ask if there was anything else they could help me with! Really? Seriously? What are you going to do for me if you won't even let me see a doctor? Don't think I will have anything to do with anyone connected to that particular hospital's medical facilities. This experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Staff is unprofessional and rude. Dr Cumberledge is not a good provider and I have replaced him as my PCP. Expected much more expertise and compassion from a Vanderbilt provider.
I have been so impressed with the care I am receiving with Dr. Cumberledge and staff.

My whole family goes to see Dr. Cumberledge. Even our youngest who is 1 yr. He is very knowledgeable and always has time for whatever you need. Never in a hurry. Very level-headed. I drive about 30 min to see him, totally worth it! I refer him to everyone!

Ive been seeing Dr. Cumberledge for close to 10 years. When I first saw him I was at a loss and my health was only declining due to having been misdiagnosed and improperly treated for 6 years by some of the highly respected TOP Drs in St. Louis. Upon my first visit he said to me While I dont know what you have I am sure the others specialists are wrong and if you give me time well figure this out. Needless to say we figured it out as a team. Serious respect and trust for this man.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
