I tried really hard to like this doctor and the staff. My son is going on two years old and I am completely over them at this point. My son has been sick every other week since the beginning of November and everytime i would call the office they would tell me the doctor will call me back and would never call me back so i would call back again the next and their anwser was we did talk to you and explained to you what to do. I always aruged back that nobody called my back and still have not been given an anwser. What really triggered me to want to leave this practice is that when i called again to request lab work to make sure everything was okay because he is still getting sick very often she said maybe its covid. So you mean to tell me that my baby has covid every other week??? (He got tested twice, both negative). Finally i get the blood work done and when i called to check the results she tells me I call you already and told you everything was fine. SHE DID NOT CALL ME INSTEAD SHE CALLED A RANDOM PERSON AND DIDNT VERIFY IF IT WAS ACTUALLY HIS MOTHER. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???..
We have been going here for 10 years and without a doubt Dr. Perez, Nimfa and his staff are amazing! They have always seen us right away when my children were sick (or just needed annual checkups) and we never had to wait long. Dr. Perez is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I trust his guidance and expertise. If you are looking for a experienced and trusted pediatrician, he is the best doctor and I couldn't recommend him enough.
My first daughter went to Dr. Perez for 4 years. The office is outdated. But my daughter liked it. I always felt like he rushed me in appointments, but my daughter was never super sick or had issues. Just check ups. So I just brushed it off. My problem came when I had my 2nd daughter. I took her to her 1 month check up. Dr. Perez asked me if I was still breastfeeding her. I told her I had decided after 3 weeks that pumping and everything with breastfeeding was just too much and overwhelmed me. He told me ohh but its for the baby. He then said mothers who don't try to breastfeed try to blame the baby when they can'tbreast feed, but its really mothers that are too lazy to breastfeed. I was shocked and speechless. And like I said he rushes during appointments that he just rushed right through and then we were done before i had time to really process what he said. As soon as I got in the car and started driving home I called my husband crying. Then once I got home I called the office and told the receptionists what he said. She apologized and said he should not have said that. I demanded that he call me back. He called me back very quickly and said he did not say that. I said I was literally in your office 20 min ago. And he said that he meant to say that babies are lazy, not mothers. I told him I know exactly what he said and he should apologize. He should never, ever tell a mother with a newborn, that she is a lazy. He should never tell a woman she is lazy for not breastfeeding and that it is a woman's choice what she does. He agreed and apologized. I never went back again. He was completely unprofessional and uncaring.
Dr Perez is the best pediatrician out there. I have went to him since I was a kid and now I take my kids here. Super friendly and just overall an awesome doctor. I highly recommend
I wanted to take the time to write a review about our experience with Dr. Perez. My kids have been his patients and have been under his care for 18 years! I would never consider taking them to any other Pediatrician. Throughout the years we have made changes with insurance carriers but always have considered our insurance changes literally around making sure he's on the plan. His bedside manner is the best! My kids are so comfortable and have always felt so comfortable with his friendly and caring approach. Recently, our15 year old son had stomach issue and Dr. Perez was so accessible and called after hours several days in a row to make sure our son was okay. I honestly feel he goes above and beyond to care for his patience. I wanted to Recognize and thank Dr. Perez for being such an amazing Pediatrician.. I joke with Dr. Perez and tell him I wish he was able to treat my husband and I as his patients.
I was so disappointed by my experience at this office. I recently gave birth to twin boys and scheduled their one week appointment here; Dr Glenn Perez was highly recommended in my city's community page so I thought things would be fine. A few things -1.The office is incredibly outdated. Not only the waiting rooms and patient rooms but even the forms they have you fill out. You can tell they've been photocopied so many times they are distorted. 2. We weren't even seen by Dr Glenn Perez, which would have been nice to have been told. Instead, there was a lady that saw us, I'm assuming a nurse practitioner. Because of COVID, my husband and I each had to have a twin in separate rooms. This woman basically gave my husband and I the same schpeal. For example, she told each of us that the boys had boogers in their nose (we both checked and saw none). Then she told me that one of my boys looked yellow and slightly jaundice. I had literally left the hospital the day prior with my baby, where they actually used a tool to check his jaundice levels. His levels were INCREDIBLY LOW risk of jaundice. Uh yeah, I'm going to go with the actual technology used to track this over what someone sees with their eyes. The final straw was when she told me to clean the boys' belly button/umbilical cord with alcohol 1-2 times a day, even though the hospital told me not to touch it. I looked this information up and this is an OUTDATED recommendation! A quick Google Search will give you a TON of articles showing this is no longer recommended. As I said, everything here was incredibly outdated, from the physical office to the methodology of caring for my newborn. I am sure Glenn Perez is as great as everyone says he is but the people who work under him are also a reflection of him and I could not have been more disappointed.
If your looking for a best friend your in the wrong place but if your looking for an AMAZING pediatrician who's going to give your child the care and attention he needs Dr Perez is your man. Yes the office is a bit outdated but the littles love the paintings in the rooms and tbh I'm not there for the decor we're there for the quality care you'll get from Dr Perez. He's very attentive and knows his stuff. Will sometimes call you to check in on your child and orders tests stat when he feels something maybe wrong and will call you immediately after he gets results in and if he has to sends you to be admitted he calls the hospital immediately and you go directly in. You get the Royal Treatment. His staff is ok some a bit more attentive than others but you have to remember this is a busy office that see many children daily and who will take you in on same day if needed. Overall in my personal opinion my family and I love Dr Perez! My son gets the quality care you would expect from a doctor and I refer everyone to him. Dr Perez is an awesome pediatrician!!
I was so upset and disappointed with the experience I had this morning at this office. My son came home from school because he was vomiting and I took him straight over to the doctors when they opened up at 8:30 and he was the first one on the list to be seen without an appointment. However, he was not called in the room and everybody else was called in before him. There were 3 others who signed in without an appointment who they called into rooms before my son.The girl at the front said that there was no reason for it and she didn't know why that happened because she gave the sheet to the other medical assistant but nobody took my son back into a room. If you have a child who is vomiting, wouldn't you want to put them in a room right away. Horrible service. I could not believe how bad the service was. I understand that we walked in I saw you were going to have to wait but to have the three other people who signed in after us because in before us was wrong.
Doctor Perez is very nice but The lady at the front desk is very very Rude and unprofessional she don't belong there. She need to work somewhere where her attitude fit.
Dr. Perez & staff are AMAZING! My daughters have been his patient for 16 years now. Dr. Perez & his staff have ALWAYS been caring; continually going above & beyond. We are moving in a few weeks, & all I can say is - we are truly going to miss everyone in his office. More importantly, something I do not see with many physicians - if you want a physician to go to war for you & your children, Dr. Perez is your guy. My eldest had a mole that resembled melanoma removed & biopsied. Even though the dermatologist had the results, he refused to provide them to me (wanted me to wait several weeks for her appointment). By the next morning, Dr. Perez had the results on his desk & was on the phone with me as soon as he got into the office. I can go on & on about how wonderful they are, but you all get the point :)Thank you Dr. Perez, & ladies in the office, for everything!
