List of The Heritage At Brentwood's Reviews
They treat their staff with the utmost disrespect. How do I know this, I have been personally accused of something I didn’t do. After they found out the accusations were false. I was not even given an apology. Let that sink in.
While I was working with this company through an outsourced agency. I was offered a position as Sous Chef. When some people found out about this position I was offered, a falsely accused accusation was filed against me. I came into work On Friday October 25, 2024, at 8:00. At around 9:45 am, I was asked to leave the property by Mark Black, at The Heritage of Brentwood. Located at 900 Heritage way, Brentwood Tn, 37027. I was not clearly informed of what happened. Only that there is an investigation for an alleged “inappropriate behavior” claim. I was escorted out by executive Chef John King. I was also told not to come onto the property and not to talk or call anyone. That wasn’t clearly discussed. So, as any normal person who did not do anything wrong I accepted this request and waited for the truth to come to light. During this time I sent several emails and phone messages to Carol, The CEO and the head of the HR department at corporate headquarters. It wasn’t until three weeks had passed that I heard back from someone about this falsely accused allegation. I was told that they finished the investigation and it came to light that it was false and the stories of the individuals did not coincide with what they falsely stated. During this conversation this person from The Heritage said they would accept my resignation. However, I didn’t work for Heritage, I was working with an agency until my paperwork came back from rehire. This entire situation caused me to lose great career opportunity with this company. These false statements have damaged my reputation by spreading inaccurate information about me to others, which has lead to negative perceptions, decreased trust, potential loss of opportunities, and harm to my professional and personal standing, essentially tarnishing my image in the eyes of others. Not to mention loss of earnings and emotional distress. How this entire so called investigative procedure was done and they way I was let go is wrong. They should be ashamed of themselves. I was still not asked anything about what happened. Be weary about how they operate this place.
The Heritage at Brentwood only cares about bringing in more money. They do not care about people. My mother died several years ago and they continue to send marketing materials after I have repeatedly called and gone in person to ask that they stop sending solicitations to a dead person!
Somerfield at The Heritage is the absolute best place to work. The fellow staff are polite and helpful and always have a positive attitude. Working for Somerfield for 10+ years, i can tell you, i would not work anywhere else again. I drive an hour one way to get to and from work and it is well worth the drive. The acuity of the residents is low and the resident to staff ratio is very low. I have worked as a nurse on the hall and the interaction with the resident is my favorite part. It is all about the expectations for yourself being as high as the expectation of every employer. We have a lot of staff activities and fun ways to meet our fellow staff on our own shift and other shifts. I have had my own mother here as a resident, that is how much i trust and love Somerfield.
I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with Amy, a kitchen manger at this location. She works with there dinning services and is one the ruddiest and most unpleasant people to encounter. She seemed to have a personal issue with me, but due to her poor articulation skills, could not explain what the real issue is. The other staff here is wonderful , but one bad apple can ruin the bunch.
As the Owner of Comfort Keepers here in Middle TN, we have helped in the IL, AL and Memory Care, and I have always been impressed with how genuine the staff is, and can tell they truly care. It's a beautiful campus to walk and they do a great job with programing for their residents.
My grandmother (89) has lived at The Heritage and Somerfield for the past year. I honestly do not know what my family would have done without this wonderful place! We toured four other places but none were as large as The Heritage. It was more expensive to buy in than a month to month but you do receive that back. My grandmother was “on the cusp” of needing her medicine/ meals regulated by a professional and she has found her niche in the small assisted living section. This is for people who are not ready for skilled nursing and still come and go independently. She has found three close friends in her building and goes to Chico’s, Kroger, etc. with them using the Heritage transportation. Her only complaint is that she wishes there were more male residents on her hallway, ha. The staff are like family at this point. My grandmother has had ups and downs and they always listen closely and respond to my calls/ emails within minutes. I really can’t recommend The Heritage enough!
I moved my mom to the Heritage 2 years ago. The independent living apartments are fine as well as the services offered but not extraordinary for the amount of money this costs. However, the reason we chose this place was for the continuum of care up to skilled nursing. We had to move my mom to the assisted living 10 days ago because of her dementia increasing. We were told she would have a phone landline since she has trouble using a cell phone. She has yet to get a working land line and no one seems the least concerned. We were told they would prompt her for activities that she has trouble remembering but then told only activities that were at the assisted living section. We were told she couldn't have her hair dryer or curling iron but there was hairdressing available that she could get weekly. Again, not available unless she walks outside over to the independent living side. No one will help her find her way over there nor will they help her remember her appointment times. So we basically moved her over there for two extra meals and medicine administration. This is a joke! I'm back to doing all of the reminders when I can get her to answer her cell phone. I should have left her in independent and hired helpers for her. The nurses and workers on the floor are super kind but everyone above them have been pretty dismissal to my concerns. I will not be recommending the Heritage to any of my friends who have aging parents in this area! Edit- while the transition from independent living to assisted living was rough, my mom is well taken care of in the Assisted Living section of the Heritage and I am thankful that I moved her where she can be more closely monitored and cared for.
It’s actually disgusting that you exploited that poor man, out of all the people you could have exploited and use and abuse as a cash cow, you chose the elderly community and your staff retention is horrendous, what you stand for as a company is disgraceful and despicable to say the least, I hope that money that you stole from these poor senior members torments you in your sleep.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
