List of W Daniel Edmondson's Reviews
I've been seeing Dr. Edmundson for about 15 years. There have been medical issues, some serious, but he keeps me on a healthy track. He takes the time to discuss the issues, including medical research if you want to know, and he does not just impose things. I am a medical statistician, so I know a thing or two about evaluating a physician, and he has my confidence.
Dr. Edmonson has been my doctor for over 20 yrs. He is the best. he is analytical in diagnosing a problem and does not over prescribe any additional treatments than may be necessary. I would recommend him or his practice to anyone.
I had been a patient of Dr. Edmunson for years. Had the same complaint multiple pain issues for years, pushed off to some specialists that were not helpful. Suffered from undiagnosed hypothyroidism even though blood work had been done yearly. I have a new physician who promptly addressed this issue. Long waiting times plus long time before I could get an appointment unless I wanted to see a P.A. Who has misdiagnosed my husband and caused me great pain from unnecessary test. So glad I moved on. Sorry it took me so long to leave.
Dr. Edmondson is easy to talk with, shows that he cares about patients' concerns and questions, and explains his diagnosis and treatment plan in simple everyday terms. I highly recommend him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Edmondson's for a long time, over the last four years I have presented with chronic fatigue, muscle/joint pain, and cognitive impairment. Many tests did not uncover the cause. During a 2016 visit, Dr. Edmondson performed a small food allergy panel which showed allergies to several foods which he passingly recommended I avoid. After my 2017 checkup he referred me to an allergist. Shame on me for not doing research, but it took 4 years to find a potential culprit.
Dr. Edmundson is a superb MD. He explains everything in simple terms. Not rushed. Makes sure you understand. He likes to take progressive approaches to the cure to minimize any adverse effects on your body. His nurse and office team are also most caring and helpful.
Not thorough. Does not practice preventative medicine i.e. Monitoring need for screening lab work, testing. Fine for addressing minor health concerns.
He spends time with you. Explains everything and his vs. your responsibility for your health. I like him a lot.
Excellent bedside manners. Never talks over my head.
He is with Cool Springs Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. A great, all-around family doctor who takes great care of children and adults, and clearly loves doing it! He knows his patients well and has been caring for some for many, many years. Great all-around doctor, for dealing with everything from well-child and well-adult check-ups to depression and anxiety to chest pain and trouble breathing.I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or family members.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
