I've been seeing Dr. Hughey for two years. In all, I've been about eight times. He's an older, experienced doctor and he's as southern as they come. He really personifies the "country doctor" thing in all the right ways. He's, attentive, thoughtful, and puts some time into what he's doing. Some people hear "country" and have the wrong associations In this case, it means you go see him in a converted house. The furniture is functional, but certainly not luxurious. The decorator probably passed away in the 1980s and they haven't hired a new one. Instead of Memphis style, you get a focus on patient care. Just a really top notch doctor. Also a very friendly and helpful staff. The experience of seeing him reminds me of how things "used to be" and how I wish they still were at other places.
