I enjoy talking with Dr . Thompson. I feel she really cares about me and is helping me my issues. I am continuing to see her.

Dr. Thompson has been my PCP for about 4 years now. She's always been able to see me quickly and has even made space for a walk in when I had a particularly pressing issue. She does not over prescribe and she is thoughtful and takes her time. I have never felt her rushing me or pushing to finish an appointment. I have no found any other doctor like this in the DMV or even in my small hometown since I was a child. She cares about your health in a holistic way and emphasizes how your mental health can impact your physical health. In short, she is wonderful and caring.

Dr. Thompson is, without question, the very best personal/family GP that anyone could ask for. She is thorough, caring, compassionate, and highly skilled. She has treated myself, my wife, our daughter, our son, my sister, and many others who we are close to. All of us continue to see Dr. Thompson, and have been for close to two decades now. Apart from all of the exceedingly great care she administers, she is the most reasonably inexpensive practitioner to be found anywhere! For the life of me, I do not understand the reviews,(from 3 years ago!), that are anything less than 5 stars; they are so very, very off the mark. Trust me when I tell you, this Physician is a National Treasure!

Dr. Thompson is great, a good listener,takes her time

I have known Dr. Thompson for eight years. She has cared for me, my wife, and my mother-in-law. We have all found her approachable, sensitive, involved, and effective. When conditions have arisen that require broader support than a GP can provide, she has been a valuable "portal" into medical support. She has extensive contacts in the medical world of Washington, so her referrals are effective.This is a one-person office, so if things are thin, there isn't a team of rent-a-doctors filling the space. I am very happy to have her thinking about me and those I care about.

Can't really understand some of the negative reviews. Dr. Thompson is a wonderful, caring, primary care physician. She is the only PCP I have ever had who actually does return telephone calls personally, and will call to follow up on labs, etc., and to see how you are doing if you have been hospitalized or particularly sick. Sure, the décor of the office isn't particularly modern and the space is cramped, but I would rather have a provider that actually cares about me and gives me the time I need than have a wonderful façade with no substance behind it. I have been to doctors who have their pens and Rx pads in their hands before you even get through the door. I would rather have someone who listen to my problem than someone who is more focused on getting me out of the door asap with a piece of paper in my hand.She is an old-school Doc who doesn't mince her words, so if you are looking for someone who will just give you whatever you want and pat you on the head, this may not be the doctor for you!

I visited Dr Thompson twice and was amazed by the level of her attention to details and by her desire to help in every question. She is very professional and has great bedside manners. The office looks a bit old, But this is a rare place where you can come and feel to be immersed in the past. However her knowledge of medicine is current and she has all updates from current treatment guidelines. I would recommend this doctor to everybody.

I have gone to Doctor Thompson several times and really enjoyed the great level of care and service that both she and her assistant provided. She is a kind and knowledgable doctor and I highly recommend her to anyone in the area.

Dr Thompson is a great doctor that I have been visiting for several years. Unfortunately the quality of service has slipped ever since the previous receptionist left. The current receptionist (Cathy) is rude, impolite and mean-spirited. For the sake of the office and its patients, the receptionist should be replaced with someone more professional and friendly.
