Dr. Rowell recently operated on my 86-year old mother to remove a tumor. I'm grateful that he took the time to connect with her, both on a personal level by getting to know her, and on a professional level by patiently explaining the procedure and answering questions. Going into surgery, she had complete trust in him. Dr. Rowell also was very conscientious about keeping me informed and answering any questions I had. His colleagues, AJ and Nicki, were also very friendly and extremely helpful. Medical professionals are under so much pressure these days that it's not unusual to find they have little time to connect with patients and their caregivers. Patients of Dr. Rowell are fortunate to have such a caring and competent team of healthcare professionals. I highly recommend.

Dr Rowell removed a mass on my left breast yesterday and I am forever great full to him and his staff for what they did for me. Dr Rowell was wonderful and made me feel at ease before my surgery and would recommend anyone to go see him.

Dr. Rowell is the best surgeon in Bristol hands down! He actually cares about his patients! He took the time to pray with me prior to my double mastectomy. I love him I couldn’t have found a better surgeon!!

Dr. Rowell is the most knowledgeable and compassionate doctor I have ever seen. During what was a very frightening time for my family and I, Dr. Rowell showed empathy and compassion while at the same time providing top-notch treatment. He took the time to explain the treatment plan and answer any questions involved. He truly cares about his patients (and their families involved). I am forever grateful for this wonderful doctor and how he changed my life. Don't just take my word for it though. Ask around, chances are you will run into someone else who can share having a similar experience with Dr. Rowell. I will never consider or suggest another surgeon!

Dr. Rowell saved my life. My bowel was twisted and partly gangrenous. He was professional, compassionate, explained my illness in ways I could understand and alleved my fears. I was terrified and in excruciating pain.

I was told by hospital staff during my pre-op appointment that I had won the lottery of surgeons. At least 20 other people throughout East TN and SW VA said similar things. I cannot say enough positive things about this surgeon! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and empathic. He facilitated discussions with my other physicians, and he is also a strong advocate which was the most pleasant surprise. Dr. Rowell is the most reliable, accurate, yet sweet and kind physician I have ever met.

Dr. Rowell performed my hernia surgery. He was very professional and caring. His staff were also very helpful and kind. The surgery went great and I would highly recommend him as a doctor.
