I've seen practically every endocrinologist in the Tri-Cities in the past 35 years and Dr. Sekhar is my all-time favorite. He is quite knowledgeable, yet friendly rather than clinical or detached. He explains things clearly when necessary but also recognizes my personal experience with my type 1 diabetes and is not patronizing. Others have acted like I can't know what I'm talking about even though I've been managing this disease since age 5. His nurse, Becky Cross, is top-notch, as well. She is always 100% on top of any question or problem with supplies, meds, etc. the same day. Highly recommended. I've left numerous other Ballad doctors for multiple reasons but will continue to see Sekhar as long as possible.

I was a patient for a year and a half. When I called to report I wasn't feeling well, his nurse Becky told me he welcomed me to get a second opinion. Best thing he said the entire time I was his patient.

Been a patient since March 2019. I credit Dr. Sekhar with saving my life. He identified my hyperparathyroidism, leading to removal of my thyroid. I'm so sorry he is relocating to Chattanooga. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Sekhar always explains everything to my understanding and makes sure he answers any questions I may have. He is straightforward, and I like that. He is a kind and personable doctor.

Dr. Sekhar and Tonya Baker, NP are the diabetic's dream team. Really know their job and the latest and greatest in diabetes treatment.

This man is truly a doctor because he wants to help people. No stone is left unturned in order for him to get to the root of the problem and he doesn't waste any time starting the process. He explains the tests he's done and gives you a clear, concise and confident diagnosis and treatment plan. I absolutely loved his personality as well. He is down to earth, friendly, and very upbeat. He is just himself...right down to his jeans, polo shirt and converse! Hands down the best doctor I've ever been to.
