List of William D Astin's Reviews
Dr Astin Has been my doctor for over 30 year's. Would not be here with out him. My wife and I both love him like family.
The most incompetent practice I’ve ever dealt with, two times they have delayed getting results back from a Urinalysis my motherhood had to go to the hospital one time. The other time they left a specimen in the sink all night and did not get results and did not bother calling us and letting us know for three days. Stay away from this incompetent practice.
Been with him almost 30 yrs. So no more needs to be said.
Dr. Astin has been my Dr. for 29 years. We have been through a lot of things. Some good some bad but he has all ways been by my side. Would not think of going to any other Dr. Thank you Dr.Astin Vicki C.
Awful first and last experience w this Dr. I have top notch insurance that covers most anything and they charge me $130 upfront before I even see the Dr. When I decided to question this after my visit, it became a hassle and an argument. They finally give me a refund of the entire amount they took, since my insurance ended up paying all but $22, told me they didn’t have any idea what my insurance covered so they charge a flat $ for everyone and after I stirred things up, banned me from seeing this dr again(which I would have never made another appt again anyway) and made sure they spread the word about this incident so that the next dr I tried to go to w in the same network refused to see me there too. HORRIBLE experience and a complete rip off for anyone trying to establish a new Dr.
doesn't listen to what patient has to say. talks about other patients in hallway where everyone else can hear what he is saying. Misdiagnosis, even though I told him I'd had these symptoms before and what it was, ended up having to pay money to go to another doctor, got the tests done and I was right - he never apologised. Gave me a medication I was allergic to once. Feel like I'm being rushed out the door before I'm done talking about my concerns as to why I was there. No I don't recommend this doctor. Also getting appointment if you are sick - None available, plan on going to a walk in clinic or ER
Dr. Astin has been our family doctor for decades. He's always made excellent diagnosis as well as plans to get healthy and stay healthy. He's personable but not chatty. When needed he'll refer us to a specialist, but since he's big on ways to stay healthy, I myself have not needed a specialist but once!
Good bedside manner, listened to what I had to say. I was pleased with my experience
Doesn't listen to what you have to say. Doesn't like to refer to specialist when you need one and won't order tests they want before you see them, claiming it's their job, specialist want the tests to determine if they need to see you. Staff is not helpful, not unusual to call and be put on hold 10 minutes. Hard to get appointment if sick - tell you to go to walkin clinic or ER, which if after hrs is ok, but established patients should be able to be seen when ill. Unfriendly staff. He is moody
Poor at referring pts to specialist for things like diabetes and thyroid issues - he thinks he can treat them, but doesn't have the knowledge, he is a GP and should not be messing with patients thyroid and diabetes medicine, that is what an endocrinologist is for. I found he does not listen to what you have to say, he's typing away while asking you questions. Doesn't follow through on referrals in a timely manner. Do Not recommend him

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
