I saw this doctor several years ago when he was located in Gainesboro. He was not a good doctor at all. Would never recommend him.
Outstanding!!!!!! A bit of a wait BUT WELL WORTH IT. You will understand when YOU go to see him. EXTREMELY likely to recommend.
It was my first visit to see Dr. Horne. The appointment was the last one of the day since he likes to spend time with his patient. I enjoyed talking with him. I am going to set up another appointment. I hope he is as nice as the first time I went.
I went to this doctor numerous times. My first few visits were uneventful and not really noteworthy either way. The last time I went was for an upper respiratory infection. My first visit for the upper respiratory infection I was given antibiotics and sent on my way. A few days later I woke up and could not breath. I called the doctor's office and told them I was having difficulty breathing. They said they didn't have any appointment available until that afternoon. My insurance frowns on going to the ER when your doctor's office is open, but looking back I wish I had just gone to the ER anyway. I suffered thru breathing difficulties for several hours. I went that afternoon to my appointment. A friend had to help me walk in. The staff saw how dire my situation was and put me in a room. I was left waiting alone in a room for over an hour. I was having an extremely difficult time breathing. It was very frightening. The office was not busy and there were no other patients there yet I was left waiting for an hour. I could hear the doctor's voice the whole time. I have no idea what he was doing. One of the nurses came in to check on me a few times and each time I told her I was having an extremely difficult time breathing. Each time she told me that she had told the doctor. After waiting for an hour struggling to breath he finally came in. He had a sarcastic attitude because I had asked the girl what was taking so long and he said "what do you think I was doing all this time?" Then he grabbed my wrist really tight. To anyone looking it would look like he was taking my pulse but he had such a tight grip on my wrist that it was very painful and I told him he was hurting me. Looking back on it I think he grabbed my wrist tight like that to get me to stop asking him what took so long and to intimidate me. He was upbelievable rude and not at all professional. He actually scared me with his demeanor and if I had not been so ill I would have left. He almost seemed to be threatening in a way. I got a very strange vibe from him that I have never gotten before from any doctor. I decided right then that I would never go back to this doctor and that I would try to warn others about him so that he can't do this to anyone else. In my opinion this doctor is a true danger to anyone going to him, there is something not right with this man and I do not at all recommend him. I found out several years later that there was evidence of my having a ruptured/ collapsed lung at one time, and I know it must be from the illness I mentioned here as that was the only time I ever experienced something that could have been that serious.
Seeing some of the negative reviews makes me think they were looking for drugs and got angry when they were not supplied. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Horne!
if this is the dr horne that use to be my dr when he was in oneida tn i wish he would come back are at least get a little closer to scott co he was a fine dr in in my book.
I had a very poor experience with this doctor. I found him rude, condescending, arrogant, and uncaring. If the care was good I might put up with that kind of thing, but lousy care from a bad doctor with that attitude, not a chance!
I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor! The girls in the office are great. My personal experience with this doctor...Life endangering. You could die if you are under his care with any condition or illness that could possibly be life threatening. Do yourself a favor and choose a different doctor. I almost died because this guy is careless and doesn't care. And when you point out to him that he was careless and doesn't care, wow, talk about a nasty side. PLEASE, for your own wellbeing, don't choose this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
