I have seen him multiple times. First time I was so sick and didn’t k ow to ask questions, I just wanted to feel better. On an office visit to have a cystoscope, it was very painful and he left the room and left cystoscope in place, the nurse had to remove it. He never came back to tell me why it had hurt so bad. Doesn’t take time to answer questions. Tells family one thing, then tells patient another . Always seems in a rush, can’t get out of the room fast enough.

Dr Wheelock has an ego problem

My husband had a Vasectomy in December by Dr.Wheelock He messed up during the surgery and had to end up making 3 holes instead of the 2. In which the 3rd hole he made was so big that he should have put a stitch in it but didn’t. It bleed and drained for 3 weeks. And was very painful. 3months later the office told us to make an appointment with TRM To do a sperm analysis. In 2 weeks time I had called Dr. Wheelocks office three different times for them to send over the paperwork to TRM. Which is rediculas. It’s not hard to fax over a form. Being told each time it would be done. Then TRM. Tells us that we have to call Dr. Wheelock office to get our results in two days. Dr. Wheelock office I talked to the girl at the desk who was supposed to transfer me to the results person. She transferred me to some woman named Kathy who clearly did not know what was going on because she told me that One of the nurses would probably call me and she said well I think Dr. Wheelock likes to call his own patients( which I never Hurd of Bc very few Doctors call parents directly that’s the nurses job.) she said he’s not in the office most days. And she wasn’t sure when he’ll be back in and I told her I said so we may have to wait a whole Nother week to know the results? She said she wasn’t sure. So I called the office manager informed her of how incompetent her employees are. She answered the phone not even telling me her name or title. I had to ask specifically if she was the manager and ask specifically for her name. When I told her about what I have been through with her employees she Did not seem surprised or apologize or try to say that she would fix any of it. The only thing she was concerned about was finding the results for me. I just want to say I was a nurse for 14 years even working in a doctor office myself and this office is very unprofessional.

I have visited Dr Wheelock twice and both times have been treated excellent he is a doctor who takes time to explain things to you and does not seem in a hurry for you to go. He make you feel calm, and that he knows what to do. he spent ten minutes looking for a sample for me to take after a systoscope procedure. And brought me a glass of water

Dr. Wedlock University of urology is an amazing brilliant dr!!! He is quaint and to the point ! He gets right to the point ,and no unnecessary actions, testing,etc in between!!! Will take new patients still definitely a plus ,and also does not require a refferel if one is required that is your insurance let request not the Dr offices!!! I would recommend Dr. Wedlock to any and everyone that suffers from allotment of Kidneys, Bladder, Prostate!!!

This was my first experience with a urologist and it was terrible. He acted like he couldn't be bothered to listen to the symptoms I had and couldn't get out of the room fast enough. When he called me with my test results he acted like he wasn't even sure who I was and couldn't give me any information to point me in the next direction. I've never had such a bad experience with a doctor.

The experience my husband and I had was the most wonderful memory of a scarey situation that we have ever had. Dr.wheelock has the most incredible bedside manner. He was very helpful in answering any questions we had, gave us all the information we asked for and more. You could tell right away that he really loves his patients and truly cares about there well being. He stayed with us through the whole ordeal and never not for one moment acted like he was in a hurry. He truley loves his job and his patients . I could write all day about how wonderful , smart ,professional, caring this doctor was and it would never be enough. we thank God he has entered our lives. Thank you!

The doctor is great. His staff is awful. Very rude and unconcerned.
