Best doctor in Chattanooga
Dr. Vaughn blamed a "failed laminectomy" rather than the fall in which it broke. I had previous back surgery 4 years and 10 months previous to a fall in which my back broke. My back was fine all that time. His opinion kept me from Workers Comp paying for my sick leave to fix my broken back. His office told me "He really doesn't like to talk to patients" when I tried to call him. He ignored my letter, and then my e-mail through the patient portal. All I wanted was for him to reconsider the cause for my broken back. Guess he doesn't like to communicate with patients period.
Dr Vaughn operated on my spine and performed a spinal fusion. I began experiencing fevers from the start which Dr Vaughn dismissed to my laziness from not re-expanding my lungs. Despite my concerns and my wife's I was sent home still running a fever. The fevers continued and grew worse over the next few weeks. Multiple calls to the office and the few return calls from Dr Vaughn got the same dismissive attitude. A visit to another doc with tests found out I had a deep tissue staph infection.
Dr vaughn and his staff have been totally awesome with my workers comp injury. Dr vaughn cares about his patients , and is very knowledgeable in his field. The whole team have been a blessing during my tough times , and I highly recommend them for quality care.
I have workers comp. I hurt back lifting patient . I have Degerative disk disease also. I’ve been taking muscle relaxers and anti -inflammatory meds to help relieve pain since PT helped little bit. Went here and He was very stern in his decision in what he wanted to do. I told him what I e been taking and that it was not effective and that’s why I am here. He wrote me another anti-inflammatory Med & Said I don’t qualify for pain meds. He wouldn’t do steroid injection or me crying in pain
Didn't care about me the one who was hurt. More worried about making his self look good for the workers comp so they will keep using him. They must of slid him money. Cause he surely could careless how I felt and what was going on with me.
I broke my ankle, so I had to see Dr. Vaughn several times. His office was very nice & courteous. I never had to wait long in the waiting area. Dr. Vaughn was very thorough & nice. He genuinely seemed to care about my pain & discomfort. It was very easy to get an appointment. The staff were very pleasant over the phone. I also love that he is located in East Ridge. I would highly recommend Dr. Vaughn to anyone with orthopedic problems.
Dr Vaughn office staff is courteous and nurses are prompt taking vitals for doctor. The waiting period in office is not bad. They get you in and out as quickly as possible. Dr Vaughn is prompt and does has not left me waiting after the nurse has taken the information. I've only had a couple of office visits but ease of appointment is above average. I'm pleased with results
Told me at 43 i was old that is why when i hurt my back at work he said it was old age i wouldn't send my pet gold fish to. he said he had to get me off narcotics. lol he wrote me a scrip for hydrocodone 5s 1 a day then treated me like an addic
He was accurate and not a rush to surgery. Follow up tests

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
