Dr. Koontz performed a miracle, against all odds, by giving us a grandson born with severe CDH. Our family will forever be grateful for his passion and skill. Very Respectfully, TEAM LIAM.

Dr. Koontz saved my 6 year old who was in septic shock from a small tear at his urethra from a minor bicycle accident in 2013. I was thankful he took the 6 hours in surgery necessary to save my son and was blunt in explaining the outcome, possibilities and mechanism of injury. Dr. Koontz is an angel. My son is now 10, 5'0" 120 lbs and having no symptoms from his left lung empyema or bilateral femur and public bone osteomyelitis.

Dr. Koontz by God's guidance saved our baby! 13 months old her appendix ruptured. Dr. Koontz not only stayed calm but demanded the room with his authority. He was like an angel in show motion. If I could give him a billion stars I would. His staff is amazing as well. We cannot speak enough positive about him there are no words! God bless!

I came to the doctor with my aunt and was shocked at the lack of custimer service. No one greeted us when we came in or even made eye contact. We were lost and didn't know where to sign in, no one offered information but we found Dr. Valle's sign in sheet where Brittany was sitting. During the entire sign in process (signing forms, making payment, copying documents) she spoke to us like she was reading a script and never looked up at us. She never said hi, thank u, have a good day, nothing. She never smiled or made eye contact at all. It waa very uncomfortable. I wouldn't want someone with such a poor attitude working at my office. Also, her hair was very off putting, like a middle schooler playing with hair bleach, it matched her attitude well.

He's very tall! Dr. Koontz was wonderful. He was so down to earth and would answer any question we were concerned with. My son was very comfortable with him and never felt intimidated by his presence, although he was our son's doctor, we felt as if he was our doctor as well. ...a very engaging physician. Thank you Dr Koontz and staff members for making an unfortunate incident less stressful for the entire family. You will never be forgotten. God Bless!

So knowledgeable and kind. Very attentive to patient and patient's parents. Always made us feel like our son was his only patient. His staff and nurses are amazing.

Dr Koontz did surgery on my daughter for a pancreatic tumor. He was AMAZING!! I could not ask for better care. He called to check on her after we were home. I will always be greatful for what he did for us.

Though he was skeptical of the diagnosis for my son, he felt it was our best option to go in after all the other tests had come back negative. He seemed as thrilled as we were to find out the true source of the problem -- on that would not show up on any test. He was thorough both before, during, and after surgery. After 5+ weeks of horrible pain, our son is well on his way back to being a normal 12-year old boy again. Thank you, Dr. Koontz!
