David Barker's Online Review Report Card

I came to Dr Barker after suffering numerous miscarriages I could tell my previous dr could careless so I made the change. Dr Barker sat an listened to me. When I ended up pregnant with my daughter he was there every step of the way till delivery time! Absolutely the best doctor I’ve ever had!

I had a fantastic experience delivering my baby with Dr. Barker! The entire office is incredible. From routine annual visits to delivering my baby, I recommend him to everyone looking for an OBGYN. I came every visit with a notebook full of questions and he answered them explaining them fully to this first time mama and dad! He even went above and beyond for my MIL who was battling cancer while I was pregnant. He knew me as a patient. He figured at month 7 I would need a c section, but knew if he told me that, I would spend the last trimester worrying. He was right; I would have. Before my surgery, he came in and explained everything to me and prayed with me and husband beforehand. When he had delivered our daughter, he helped her up above the curtain and called her by name. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Barker and his practice.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Barker, and found that he was the only OBGYN I have ever been comfortable going to! He is knowledgeable, empathetic, compassionate, and answers all my questions and concerns! I had to switch insurance companies recently, and found out he does not accept my new insurance! I am really upset about not being able to continue seeing him, and not happy about going to anyone else! I highly recommend him, and wish I still was able to see him!

Super friendly at first. Then questioned some of his recommendations and decided to opt out of some shots. He became cold. Would not take time to answer questions, always in a rush. My baby came before he made it to the hospital but he was stitching me up and was super rude and snapping at me for not relaxing my body like he told me for not holding foot stirrup that was broken out of his face. My sister had 4 babies and was with me and said she’s never seen any doctor acting so horribly. He never came in to check on me at the hospital, never informed when to come in for next check up.

Comes off super nice at first, but I dared question some of his advice and he became cold and would be in a rush all the time. Didn’t make it to the delivery of my baby bc she came too quick, but was there to stitch me up and had the most horrible table manners. He was snapping at me the entire time for not relaxing my body while he was stitching (even tho didn’t even let the numbing shots start to work). Was snapping at me about the foot stirrup for swinging into his face bc it was broken, guess was expecting me to be holding it with my foot instead of other way around. After that did not even once come in to check on me, sent me home without telling me about pain meds, only found I had a prescription when my pharmacy called me a month later to see if I still wanted them. Never said when to return to check on the stitches. Worst experience EVER. My sister was with me, she had 4 babies and said she never saw such a horrible doctor.

Dr.Barker was amazing he always answered any questions I had to ask and was brutally honest. He was amazing through my whole pregnancy journey and the delivery of my son! I couldn’t had asked for a better doctor and he is very knowledgeable in his practice. I really respect that he prayed with me and my husband after the delivery!!

I would NOT recommenced Barker for any woman who has mental health issues. When I first came in, he seemed friendly enough, until he found out that I was bipolar and on meds, at which time he suggested I get my tubes tied, supposedly because the meds would kill my baby, but also because "women with bipolar can't be trusted to take birth control." After I said no he became distant and unfriendly. I came in a few more times and he acted like he couldn't get away fact enough. Would never go to again.

Dr. Barker’s bedside manner is horrible!! And probably shouldn’t be dealing with pregnant women.

Dr. Barker and his entire staff are incredible. His practice provides not just excellent care, but excellent service. He is the one who performs ultrasounds, so you don't have to wait on results. I had no idea that most doctors give so few ultrasounds. Here you get one every visit, by your doctor. I cannot rave enough about the kindness of everyone there. They don't ever seen rushed, put out, or annoyed if I have questions or schedule an appointment. Think of Dr. Barker and his staff as a wedding cake in a world of pop-tarts without frosting!

Rude when i ask a question. Doesn't spend anytime with patients. Makes me feel uncomfortable.
