I saw Dr. Matzkin for double vision in my left eye and difficulty seeing at night. It seemed that no matter how bright the lights were inside I still had difficulty seeing. I had installed bright white LED bulbs through the house and still needed them on all the time. Dr. Matzkin performed cataract surgery on both eyes and I cannot express how remarkable the difference was from the moment I looked outside after surgery. Seeing the light flood in, the vibrant colors and sharp detail was like seeing for the first time. I do not need glasses at all and I am able to read the tiniest label and still see distant views and signs I previously could not see clearly. The surgery was painless and recovery rapid. The “dropless” surgery was wonderful - no drops after surgery and no problems after surgery. One word describes Dr. Matzkin, his staff and the experience - Amazing!

After some research, it appeared Dr. Dennis Matzkin had some great reviews as a cataract surgeon. His team at Allied Eye were very polite and efficient. Visits to his office proceeded briskly with very little wait time. They provided all necessary information in a concise manner. Dr. Matzkin explained the procedure and the options and provided an opportunity to ask questions. Prior to the procedure, he advised that with my history of lasik surgery and astigmatism, there could not be complete assurance that the implanted lenses would correct my vision totally. Apparently, there must be adjustments made with the implanted lenses or in the implant procedure to account for prior lasik surgery and astigmatism. Whatever Dr. Matzkin had to do, he did it very well. My post-surgery eye exams indicated that I had better 20-15 vision which is better than 20-20 vision. I do not have to wear corrective lenses or use reading glasses. It was a fantastic outcome.
