List of Dr. David N Collins's Reviews
Terrible experience. They have no respect for the patients. Your time is worthless to them and your importance is insignificant. They put me in a room to wait for the Dr. Two hours past my appointment time and he wasn’t even in the building. I left and they didn’t understand why.
My wife didn't get past the phone call for an appointment because we currently do not have insurance. She has been having pains for almost week now and having one emergency room visit and being rushed through with little help she was referred to another gastroenterologist who has been blowing us off. They thought it would be a gall bladder . She went to another emergency room who did better but still found nothing and referred her to the same docs, who happen to be closed today. Being in pain we looked to this doctor but the receptionist said they don't take people without insurance which is illegal. These people are breaking the law by refusing help to a person with a potential life threatening condition.

Dr. Collins is the best Gastro in Chattanooga, hands down.
DR DAVID COLLINS IS A GREAT DR AND HAS A WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY STAFF.
Every time I call the office I can never get a hold of anybody they take two hour lunches from noon until 2 o’clock and I’m having trouble getting them to communicate with my insurance company their desk staff and answering service is junk the doctor is great but he has horrible employees !
The doctor himself is kind and seems very capable. On the other hand, he and his staff did a horrendous job of explaining the charges upfront. I asked a number of questions around billing and was given incomplete answers. I was shocked by thousands of dollars in charges that went on for months for a simple procedure. I cannot imagine visiting this office, again, as it would be hard to trust them.
Dr. Collins is a great doctor. However, because of his staff, I am now looking for a new gastroenterologist. I was the first patient of the day, at 8:00, to see the assistant to Dr. Collins. The receptionist didn't arrive until 8:30 and by the time I left at 9:00, the assistant had never arrived. The waiting room was full by then. I do not wish to deal with an office that has such a lack of respect for people's time.
Excellent doctor. Diagnosed me right away with an issue I had been dealing with for awhile.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
