List of Erlanger East Hospital's Reviews
Im in the ER right now. Treated like a second class citizen. Worst hospital policies I have ever come across. My primary care is amazing and is out of this hospital but I will NEVER give them a dime of my money again. You have just permanently burned bridges with me Erlanger. And the rest of my family too. This is not a hospital. Its a joke. I drove 2.5 hours to get here from KNOXVILLE. What a joke.
Erlanger has an awful COVID policy. Instead of allowing members of the same household who would naturally all have the same exposure from visiting a hospital together only the PATIENT can come in. So If you’re a first time parent be prepared dad you can no longer go into the waiting room with your wife see ultrasounds or be there to hear about your baby and ask questions. That’s right you are fully excluded. Erlanger should reevaluate their ignorant positions that exclude people from the same household. At this point I do not recommend them I’ve also had Erlanger bill me wrong twice in the past. I didn’t write a bad review then but this kind of policy makes me incredibly upset. The people in charge of policy at this hospital need to have their positions reevaluated since they can exclude family from supporting loved ones with the stroke of a pen. I can understand banning in laws friends etc. people who share a bed and live at the same household? That isn’t scientific that is just fear and cruelty. I’m sure the people who wrote the policy never got excluded like this. Go elsewhere Chattanooga this place is a mess.
Could not make an appointment for out patient EKG and blood work. Turned out I could for the blood work. Spent over 2 and a half hours to get 10 minutes of preopWork done.
Facility was clean staff nurses and Doctors were kind helpful and cheerful.
Bed side manner is awful. Making snide comments about a patient and talking about it with your fellow coworkers shouldnt be tolerated but hey who am I oh yea the customer
They need to have better directions on where you need to be. I spent 25 minutes trying to find out where I needed to be. Which made me late for my appointment. I asked two nurses a maitenance man then went in to ask a lady behind the desk she sent me to Zeigler Rd. The number they gave me was just an answering machine. So I had to Google it talked to them told them where I was and the whole story she put me on hold to find out exactly where I need to be. I finally made it and had my test done. They not only need to give the address but also say whether it is building ABC. Or what streets to turn on. It was ridiculous.
I gave birth here on august 15th2021. The nurses staff midwife everyone were so kind I had one nurse that was rude our first night and was not helpful at all and had an attitude but I luckily only had here for a few hours during my 4 days in labor. My midwife is Katie Beth but she was not on call that weekend so I had Meg Brasel as my midwife and she was very kind and respectful of my wishes of wanting to have a natural birth as much as possible. She was very kind and kept us informed on all medical interventions. My fiancé and I are very analytical and asked a lot of questions and she always gave us the facts and allowed us time to do our own research before continuing on with any treatment. Nurses that we hadKaren Ashley Leah and one other that I unfortunately can not remember her name😕 we’re the BEST They took such good care of us and we’re so encouraging. After birth while in the postpartum room I hemorrhage and the nurses down there were just as amazing as the labor and delivery nurses. They acted so fast to take care of me take care of baby and kept my fiancé close by to help keep me calm. They were so kind to my fiancé and newborn during this time. Truly such a great experience even in a stressful and long labor and delivery.
Erlanger East has been amazing the last 9 months of my pregnancy. This was where I would see my OB and where we delivered. The doctors and nurses were outstanding and made my experience so wonderful. I would recommend and have already recommended this hospital to any expecting Momma
Doctors nurses were great however their discharge process took over 3 hours so the last feelings we have about the stay was very bad.Needs to be evaluated fixed
The ER really needs be more efficient. My daughter was put in a room we have been waiting for an hour get a shot and antibiotics. We have been here for about 3 hours with no relief for her pain. I wouldnt recommend this ER to anyone not would I come back here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
