The staff here is amazing! Excellent experience.

I had just suffered a miscarriage three months prior and asked to have a copy of my ultrasound for memories which they never gave me…. Anyways, I start spotting, so I make a same day appt and instead of my original OB I have to see Dr. Barker instead. Well, I’m waiting in the exam room to have an ultrasound and when Dr. Barker and the nurse walk in, he says in a chipper voice, “Ok, let’s see your miscarriage.” I look at the nurse and she’s just as shocked as I am. And then he rephrases and says I mean “baby”. Thank God my baby had a heartbeat and lived. But I did not go back to this office.

Dr Barker is an amazing man of God, human, Doctor and surgeon. He took excellent care of me.

I was referred here by my PCP. My appointment comes, I get back in a room, talking to the nurse and things are fine. She leaves telling me we'll likely have to change rooms because they would need to do an ultrasound. A few minutes later a NP walks in, quickly says her name and tells me to follow her. Without another word, we walk to the other room, she pulls out the little sheets to cover myself up, sets them down and walks away. The nurse was still in the room preparing equipment. Only moments passed between the nurse leaving and the NP opening the door, WITHOUT KNOCKING, to me wearing nothing but my underwear around my thighs. Of course she leaves. Several minutes later she returns again, without knocking, comes in. No apology or acknowledgement of her unprofessional move. From there, she was cold, condescending and aggressive in her examination. Additionally she visibly irritated and curt when I refused a pap smear because I was almost certain that I had one done a few months ago and I know that insurance will not pay for that twice. She assures me I didn't, but in fact upon looking at the same records she had access to (and calling my PCP for confirmation), it was confirmed the NP at this office simply doesn't know how to review records. Today I received the phone call with my test results and what they advise I do moving forward. However, I could not understand the woman speaking. After asking to repeat herself and still being clueless as to what is going on with my body, I told her I was driving and asked her to please use the Galen Portal to send me there recommendations.. I was told this is impossible, but I have a hard time believing that considering the communication I have had with other offices and providers in the Galen Network using the portal. Whether she is correct or not, I find the situation problematic.

I have been a patient of both Carol Taylor, PA-C and Lauren Barlew. Both women provided wonderful care. I’m grateful to be able to say my experience with Galen OB/GYN Ridgeside (previously OB/GYN Centre of Excellence) has been nothing short of positive.

I've been coming to this practice for 10 years and cannot say enough positive things. Dr. Harnsberger and his nurses Keisha and Noelle are incredibly caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, attentive and the list goes on. They have been there through some of the most life changing moments including pregnancy, childbirth and breast cancer at 30. If you're looking for a compassionate team of doctors and staff this is the place! They make you feel like family.

not only will DR. BOYD belittle any issues you have, he is a rude and incompetent provider who should not be licensed. he does not follow “first, do no harm” and is severely lacking any empathy for women.

I love this practice. I've seen just about everyone in the office and never had a bad experience. I'm a patient of Dr. Barker. He delivered my son two years ago and I had a wonderful experience throughout our whole prenatal/delivery/postnatal journey. Dr. Barker is very knowledgeable and kind, and I always knew my baby and I were in good hands. I recently experienced a miscarriage and when I called with initial concerns the staff got me in next day with Lauren Barlew. She was very compassionate. I'm sure those appointments aren't easy for the medical providers, either, but she handled everything with both professionalism and care. (The same could be said for Dr. Barker in my follow-up visit.) I've never felt unheard or uncared for at this practice and I highly recommend it to anyone I know who is looking for an ob/gyn.

I saw Dr. Erica Angelino for a pap smear and to get my nexplanon taken out, which can be scary since they just cut open your arm to take out the implant. Dr.Angelino was so so kind and careful and I experienced no pain, and she was very informative. I’ve had some BAD experiences with OBGYNs and was previously terrified of pap smears because of that, but this was so quick and so easy, I never want to go to another OBGYN. Even when she was squeezing a metal stick out of my arm, I was relaxed and not afraid. Thank you Galen OBGYN and Dr.Angelino, I’m finally no longer scared to death of my annual pap smear and exam.
