If you need an oncologist, TN Oncology is the place and I highly recommend Dr. Vardhana. I mostly saw Dr Vardhana at the Ringgold location after initial diagnosis in Chattanooga. He and the entire TN Oncology staff are so positive and encouraging. Hearing you have cancer is hard enough. These amazing people help you to keep going through such a difficult diagnosis. I am grateful Dr. Vardhana took me on as a patient and helped me through my battle. I cannot say enough good stuff about the care I received. Thank you!

Dr. Harsha Vardhana is fantastic. He is very caring and compassionate. He is very knowledgeable and explains things well. He is very thoughtful and is very concerned about his patients. He is very thorough and does all he can to put your mind at ease. Always will be my top choice!!! He's the BEST!

Dr. Vardhana is a passionate, knowledgeable, and an encouraging oncologist. He takes the time to explain diagnosis, treatment, and overall plan of care to his patients. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Vardhana is not whatsoever a caring or compassionate doctor at all. I was there about a month ago or so with my mother to talk about her potential diagnosis and Dr. Vardhana wasn't empathetic at all during the consultation. First of all, Dr. Vardhana only cares about prescribing medicine, he got very angry and nasty towards us because we had been having our PCP refill my mothers medication she has been needing for her cancer, so he got mad at us, gave us a huge sermon and I told him I needed to get what my mother needed and he got angry because it didn't "come from me." This should be discussed with the other physician... not to get hostile with the patient for getting the treatment they need. Second of all, when my mother asked about the potential side effects of the new medication she would possibly need, he got angry again and said "it doesn't matter now, you don't need to know until I know if you have cancer"... what kind of response is that? I felt bad for his student learning from his responses to patients. He never said goodbye, he never listened to her heart or lungs, didn't bother asking how she was doing with her current medications and just lectured us the whole time. Please reconsider another Oncologist, there are plenty others, Dr. Vardhana has no empathy at all and is only there to give you medicine and see the next patient, he will not listen to what you have to say or what you want to know about your diagnosis or treatments.

Dr. V is very knowledge and patient. However, my issue is extremely small and turns out to be a false alarm. Thus I cannot comment on his expertise on a deeper level, however much I wish to do so. Con: Dr. V obviously has an Indian accent. It is not detrimental to understanding and should not be a barrier to a patient-doctor relationship in my view. However, if this is an issue to you, take note.
