I received a call the morning of 7/06/22 and was told neither Dr McCallie or any doctor at the Ridgeside Internal Medicine Group is accepting new patients. I am new to Medicare with United Health Care PPO as secondary, and recently moved to Chattanooga from Atlanta where my former internal medicine provider retired who was affiliated with Piedmont Hospital. A patient of Dr McCallie and a Chattanooga doctor recommended the practice to me, but was told that unfortunately neither he or Dr Cherry or Dr Newman or Dr Hammond are taking new patients. The listing should be changed to reflect that new patients are not being accepted. - Deborah

Dr. McCallie was very professional, although, the staff was griping and complaining openly the entire time about other patients. Very unprofessional. His nurse, Wendy, was rude and hateful. Didn’t have any compassion for my situation. Made me very uncomfortable.

Dr. Jack is the finest most caring doctor you will ever find. Our family went to his father Dr. David McCallie and Dr.Jack carries the torch well!!!!

I was recently put on hold for over 25 mintes to request a prescription refill for my Mother that is needed ASAP (no answer) so I dialed another extension number from another phone to then be put to voicemail stating that my request may take 72 Hours!!!! This is NOT the first time calling this office to be put on hold for Outrageous amounts of time. It is rare to be able to talk to a real person without being put on hold or to wait for a return phone call. It is Very frustrating and Scary!! They could definitely use much more of their money on Customer service.

Dr. McCallie is always attentive and caring. He takes time to listen, to understand symptoms and thinks of things that other doctors would not. He seems to always get it right.

He always takes time to listen to patient's concerns. He has a broad knowledge of medicines and knows which medications will work best for each person. He is a person of integrity, faith, and kindness. He makes wise decisions regarding referrals.for additional treatments when needed. I have recommended several of my families to him and all have been thoroughly satisfied and appreciative.

What an experience! A staff who smiles and engages in conversation. A doctor who looks at you rather than a computer and spends time with you. I thought these belonged to the past.

Dr. McCallie exemplifies what a great internist should be. He spends plenty of time with me to thoroughly discuss my health and any necessary treatment options. I've been a patient of his since I was a teenager and see no reason to change.
