Very great doctor.

We saw this doctor when my son was 3 after he had a tonsillectomy and was still having recurrent strep infections. She told us our son was probably just a carrier (we had the whole family tested and none of us including him are carriers) and that he's just a misbehaved child. Our son was having behavior problems at the time of the appointment and she made remarks about how he's not even trying to behave in her office in front of her and chalked it up to our parenting being the issue. Even though we would see him get better and be himself, then as soon as he started having anxiety and bad behavior, we KNEW he had strep and we were correct every time we took him to be swabbed. We felt belittled and defeated. After another year of searching for answers we found out that he has an autoimmune disorder due to strep that causes brain inflammation leading to behavior problems (anxiety, rages, OCD to name a few). Once our son was finally diagnosed by a wonderful, educated pediatrician here in Chattanooga, I couldn't help but be even more disappointed in Dr. Huff for being so ignorant about PANDAS. We needed to be pointed in the right direction when all of the signs and symptoms were right in front of her and we were desperate for guidance from a professional. I try to be thankful for the experience because it pushed me harder to continue searching for answers that we finally received but I would not recommend her for anyone having similar issues or for a PANDAS educated doctor.

Dr Huff is amazing! After seeing 5 different doctors with no answers we were satisfied with, we saw Dr Huff. With in seconds she diagnosed our son with SJS which was caused by mycoplasma. This is very uncommon so the fact that she was able to see this in under 60 seconds truly broadcasts her plethora of knowledge. She has continued to follow up on the progress of our son even going as far to give us her personal cell phone number if we needed her after hours. She is an amazing Doctor and I will recommend her to anyone that doesn’t feel they are getting the answers they feel good about!
