List of Jason Spangler's Reviews
I have only seen Dr. Spangler once for a consultation of my rotator cuff tear. I was very impressed by how he makes and keeps eye contact when talking with you. He also explains everything in Layman's terms, thus giving a patient a clear understanding of the procedure from start to finish. I had gone to an ortho prior and was very displeased that the doctor made no eye contact with me and just wanted to make a surgery decision that day! So my visit with Dr.Spangler was 100 % comforting and reassuring ! I am 62 years old and I’ve never had a surgery before. Therefore feeling comfortable and reassured is the most important thing for me to go through this with very little anxiety!
This guy was very knowledgeable and caring. He helped me with my knee. The shot and medication is working well. I would recommend him to others.
Dr Spangler seems to be a very caring Doctor. He took time with me and explained in detail what my treatment would entail. He’s not rushing me through but even ordering more test to make sure he has a clear picture of my problem. Staff was very friendly and wait time was minimal.
I have been a patient for several years and I really like that he goes over all the options with me. There was not a rush to surgery, we tried other things until I realized nothing else was going to help me. I would and have recommended him to my friends and family.
Very pleased with everything about my appointment. Dr Spangler performances surgery on my shoulder in 2020 and I healed up great!
The wait time was approximately 1 hour but it was well worth it. He had x-rays taken of my knee and told me the options for treatment. I went with his recommendation of a knee replacement. He was highly recommended.
I tore the labrum in my hip. He "fixed" it. Not even 6 months later I'm back in worse pain than I was in before. I can't walk without a cane, in constant pain, moving or not, can't even have sex with my husband. If I were a man I'd have been back on the table in a heartbeat. But no, I am told I need a hip replacement but will need to wait 5 years. He expected me to be in constant, life wrecking pain for 5 years. So I got a second opinion, from a woman. Turns out Dr. Spangler's "fix" actually caused a second tear. So I now had 2 labral tears and he just wanted me to deal with it. Second doctor had me on the table in less than a month and actually fixed my hip. I woke up from surgery feeling better than I did when I went under. He refused to listen to me or even entertain the fact that something was seriously wrong with my hip. He laughed it off like I was overexagerating my pain when in fact HE caused the additional pain.
Dr Spangler is such a wonderful Dr. He is so kind, caring and explains everything about shoulder care. Very pleased with my care.
He was attentive, he examined me and gave me a diagnosis. I trust that he will take good care of me during my surgery. Thank you Dr. Spangler.
I’ve had knee issues for over 35 years! Dr. Spangler has done 1 of 2 surgeries and as I am most likely facing another, this time a very major one, I wouldn’t have anyone except him perform it! The world needs more Drs. like him. He listens, cares, is honest, explains the good, bad, and ugly of your injury and possible issues or problems that could arise or occur long term, if asked, he will even given you his opinion on what he would do if he were in your shoes! My whole family has seen him and though we’ve loved those we’ve seen before, I wouldn’t trust anyone else!! Don’t go to the ER! Call, get an Urgent Care Appointment. X-Rays aren’t accurate. Waiting for the MRI and F/U was longer than waiting for an appointment with him! They need to have F/U appointments closer to MRI dates so less damage is done waiting and doing normal every day life on a potentially badly injured body part, especially if it is a weight bearing one! But I know some of that is beyond their control.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
