I would not recommend Dr. Jennie Mahaffey Or Erlanger Behavioral Health if they were the last source of help on the planet. Do NOT send your loved ones here. They hide behind Covid rules. Refuse access to your loved one. The doctor will NEVER call you back even if you have explicit POA to discuss meds or anything else for that matter. You have to talk to social workers that can not answer questions "because they are not doctors". When your loved one falls while in their care because they are heavily over medicated they still will not allow you access to your loved one until the insurance runs out. The doctor won't call you back then either. You can't take your loved one to a different facility unless the doctor signs off. I was told my loved one BELONGED to Erlanger Behavioral Health and considered a danger to herself...Well my loved was never injured under anyone else's care but theirs. She has dementia, not psychotic or suicidal. My loved one was sent home in cloths that did not belong to her. Half of the cloths sent with her did not come home with her. OH and she was sent home with soiled pants (not hers) and a soiled depends stuffed in her walker bag. I have pictures of my loved one a week after the fall that would tear your heart out, but I won't post here due to her privacy. RUN from this place. RUN. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Only cares about her image, not her patients. Kept upping my dosage then wrote three scripts for a controlled substance, because she knew she was going to stop treating people at the Dodson Ave clinic. Showed up for my last appointment, to be told she was no longer practicing there. Just left me high and dry and thank God because my issue was performance anxiety, not even ADHD for which she was prescribing stimulants. The stimulants only helped because they made me so impulsive it overrode my performance anxiety.

The absolute worse psychiatrist I’ve ever encountered. Been dealing with mental health of family member for three years and 10 inpatient visits at other hospitals. She never spoke with family of patient to find out history as every other psychiatrist did. Never asked for past medical records to enable accurate diagnosis and medication treatment. And sent patient home the first time so overmedicated, they spiraled and ended up right back in this hell hole 10 days later. And Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital offered to send actively psychotic patient home in Uber when family had to work and couldn’t pick up for a few extra days. This after deciding to discharge when she hadn’t seen the patient in six days. I would give a zero rating if I could. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

Listens and remembers what you say. Very easy to talk with
