Dr. Van Mason is a wonderful allergist. She took the time to listen to me and helped with a plan for my tree nut allergy. Outside of just an EpiPen, we have a plan to help with this and my terrible pollen allergies in the fall and spring. Last fall was so much better after allergy shots.

I went in for food allergy testing after a severe allergic reaction at a restaurant to an unknown food. The doctor spent the first half of the appointment explaining the inaccuracies of food allergy tests. Then preceded to minimize my experience at the restaurant. The doctor did not want to do a thorough or complete food allergy and/or chemical allergy test but only to test for foods that I do not eat. I understand that allergic reactions can increase in severity with exposure. My goal was to identify the allergen to avoid instead I left with a partial food allergy skin test performed on my arm and an epi pen. Would not recommend this doctor for food allergies.
