What about the associate oncologists Dr Graham and NPs? After 14 years of none answer answers I was relegated to the 2d string nurse practitioner. In all those years I never received a straight answer to a question. My cancer stage 4 prostate was stage 4 15 years ago and I am now essentially determining my own treatment and am still stage 4. ??? Very disappointing.

Thanks to the consummate skill and knowledge of Dr McCravey I am a 16 year survivor of double lung cancer two different types one in each lung that he categorized as at least stage 3b if not stage 4 at the time of diagnosis. If you want a doctor who will tell you soothing things and make you feel comfortable McCravey is not your man. If however you want someone to run it down for you tell you exactly where you stand and then work like hell for your survival there is no one better. I recommend him highly

Dr McCravey has been my Onc dr for 9yrs now. He has been great! He has always been there when needed.Many people do not like John because he is very matter of fact. But he's a cancer Dr and you have to have strong emotional control when knowing that most of your patients are dying a slow miserable death to such a nasty disease.

Staff was wonderful! Dr.McCravey is very knowledgeable, unfortunately his attitude is not the best. Raised his voice at me when I was not being disrespectful at all. Also not a very good listener. I just felt he was arrogant. This is just my experience. Hopefully my next will be better.

This is a terrible doctor. If you go through Erlanger are diagnosed with cancer and get him demand another doctor. My brother was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer which is terminal but Dr. McCravey did not put forth his best effort at treating my brother. My brother went months without any kind of treatment while the doctor tried to figure it out About a month ago my brother started having difficulty breathing. He went to the emergency room. The ER doctors did a scan and they found not only pneumonia in his right lung but lesions in his lungs as well. Shortly after my brother went to what would be his last appointment with Dr. McCravey. He was so weak by this point that he was unable to walk up to the doctors office but had to be wheeled up there. Dr. McCraveys response was to just give my brother some cough meds and send him home. My brother spent the last two weeks of his life sitting in front of a fan because he was STARVED for oxygen. STARVED His cancer had advanced to the point that fluid had built up around his heart and that is why he could not breathe. He didnt get sent home with hospice so his last weeks could be somewhat comfortable HE SUFFERED And all because Dr. McCravey never bothered to take the time. The PA at Erlanger ICU told me that my brother was COVERED in cancer. Not just a few metastatic lesions on his liver... his liver was covered. His lungs were covered... it was in his brain. Dr. McCravey... I hope you read this. I hope you are a better doctor going forward than you ever were to my brother because he deserved so much better than what you ever bothered to give him.

DR McCravey is a very good doctor.He seems to have a lot of interest in his patients He has helped me by being straight forward with me.He has been very concerned in keeping me active and able to do my job as Basketball c oach
