List of Joshua Derryberry's Reviews
One of the worst doctors known to human kind. Doesn’t care about his patients got the feeling he didn’t even know what he was talking about. Just seemed to want to get through the appointment. Don’t know how some people get to be doctors
From check in doctor visit and checkout my first new patient appointment was phenomenal Nurse Kerry and Dr. Derryberry listened to and addressed everything I ask about. The ladies in lab were also wonderful.
Went to dr Derryberry a few months ago in regards to ear infection he stated I didn’t have an ear infection my ear canal was just small and some people just have to come every few months to get their ears cleaned . He prescribed me with pills and some stuff to go up my nose that was no help and it didn’t make sense to me because once they cleaned my ears that day a few days later drainage was back I went to a clinic on hwy 58 today and was advised I have a ear infection called otitis and was prescribed with ear drops I wouldn’t recommend this doctor he didn’t seem interested in helping I felt like he didn’t care he didn’t seem to know what he was talking about and he just sent me home with some medicine that was not beneficial I wouldn’t recommend him to anybody save your time please
Dr. Derryberry had been my physician for almost a year now. He has treated me with two illnesses as well as other issues. I have always felt listened to and treated well. He has good communication skills and is very polite. I have zero complaints. The rest of my family have appointments with him soon due to the exceptional care I have received
Writing this review in hopes that it will help others find a better suited doctor. Now the galen medical team in hamilton was super helpful and respectful. The customer service for setting up my appointment and paperwork was great. My problem was with the doctor Joshua Derryberry.I just turned 30 and had insurance where the copay wasnt crazy expensive so after 3 years I got to finally go see the doctor. Now maybe Im used to a certain type of service because in the past Ive had amazing doctors and have felt heard. Especially given my age and time I was expecting a bit more of hands on.Now if you need a doctor to just sign a paper and not really listen or look at you. This is the guy. If you just need a recommendation this is the guy. If youre not someone who needs medical attention at all this is the guy.Not only did Joshua Derryberry spend about maybe 15 minutes w but he spent most of it in front of the screen. He didnt build an environment ask questions or respect my concerns. I was leaving my job due to moving from the area so I really wanted to get good quality care. Not only did this man really listen he recommended other people for services.I understand that but when I keep repeating that I just turned 30 and I havent seen a doctor in 3 years and the dr. is just kept ignoring it and typing away then how can I ask more sensitive questions? It looked very obvious to me I wasnt a concern to this dr. Not only that but as he was exiting I had to remind of certain things I came for. For one an ear ache that was an ear infection. When he dismissed it for wax build up he told me to get debrox.I have a bad historyexperience with debrox. I have since I was a kid. I mentioned this and thus ensues his condescending argument. When I said it wasnt going to work with me if there was something else he proceeding to repeat but when was the last time you used it? so how can you know? Okay...heres my problem if a patient is telling you a medical history with a substance instead of being condescending maybe you should actually use your medical training and find a solution. Also disrespecting a patient is not a way to build a relationship because if Im seeing that your not taking my small inquiries seriously how will I ever present bigger concerns? In conclusion no I dont recommend Joshua Derryberry if your a woman or person of color honestly. I did not feel respected or heard. In fact my ear ache became a full blown infection especially after I used debrox against my better judgement. I ended up going to the birchwood clinic due to my insurance situation and not only did a nurse practitioner take the time to listen suggest alternatives for my ear but built a space where I was able to express ailments I was experiencing. I did not feel respected or heard by Joshua Derryberry. Given the information and reputation of Galen Medical Id look elsewhere or wait for Katheryn Goodwin who I originally wanted to see. This man did not only dismiss me disrespecting and talked down to me as a child but overall didnt do his job. Creating a relationship with a primary doctor is important not just a box you cross and to this man I was just a box to cross.
Very caring and inquisitive medical provider very thorough in making this determination with a manner of confidence.
How this guy ever graduated medical school is beyond me. Dr. Derryberry has absolutely no bedside manner and lacks basic communication skills to help patients. I left the office having a bad experience and immediately sought a new primary care physician.
Dr. Derryberry has been my primary care physician for the last two years. I am extremely happy with him. His evaluations are thorough and I never feel rushed or as if hes in a hurry. I have no complaints whatsoever

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
