List of Mark R. Melson's Reviews
Wonderful first visit. The staff was great, and super helpful. Dr. Melson was at once friendly and professional, not to mention very highly skilled. He thoroughly explained the procedure, and cared about my comfort and condition throughout the visit. Highest recommendation.
Was unable to develop a trusted working relationship with this physician and his office staff. Papers that were supposed to be submitted for insurance review not submitted and then when submitted were incomplete. In consultation was told was going to have a small lift to improve vision but at time of booking this changed to a full cosmetic procedure. Very poorly coordinated office, geared to cosmetics, not medicine. Tried working with this office for five months to no avail.
Excellent
Dr. Mark R. Melson performed surgery for ptosis on my R eye while @ V'bilt Eye Institute. What was to be only (1) surgery has now turned into (7). I was told 07-2017 another is necessary. I've lost count of the painful injections in my face. Why so many surgeries, now including my left eye? Because Dr. Melson failed to take my having Bells Palsy into account! The symmetry of my face is harsh. I am absolutely worn out physically and mentally with this on-going trauma! It's been unfortunate!!!
I have seen better nd I've seen worse.
Dr. Melson is an experienced and professional Doctor.I am very pleased with my eye surgery.I would recommend him to anyone.
I went to Dr melson with high hopes for a long time problem of heavy eye brows. Dr melson shortened my eye lid did nothing to raise my eye brows. Now they cannot raise my eye brows because my eyelids are to short to close my eyes. He should have raised my eyebrows first and if that was not enough then could have shortened my eyebrows. Now I am stuck with the same problem I have had for years. BE CAREFUL when you go for follow up visit he tries to make you feel stupid.
I have seen Dr. Melson for several years for Graves Desease. He is so nice and very good!
This physcian has extraordinary medical skills and also is a great people person. I would not hesitate to recommending him

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
