Dr Higgins saved my life! My knees were so trashed I couldn't walk without severe pain. My gait was crooked and my hip was killing me because of it. After 2 total knee replacements I have a brand new life. I'm losing weight and I'm able to do things I haven't done in years! My granddaughter said she loved that we can walk together now. That is the best present of all!

I found Dr. Higgins as a second opinion to the original ortho I used to see. I never felt like he was rushing me to hip replacement or trying to get my money. He was extremely patient and answered all my questions including trying to talk me out of having a replacement. If you are looking for a doctor who is kind, patient, informative, and an overall good surgeon then look no further. I had my replacement at 29 and he did things that doctors couldn’t do for me over the years. He corrected my limp and I have had very little pain post op. I also loved that he offered the anterior approach and allowed me to book my appointment 6 months down the road.

Long wait time. Dr did not seem to listen when i was complaining about my pain.

I went to dr higgins for a hip replacement, (one down and one to go.. )he was very caring and compassionate, i never felt rushed with him, answered all my questions and squelched all my fears. I am 4 weeks post op and feel amazing with my new hip!!!! Im doing things that i havent done in over a year, i feel very grateful to have had him as my surgeon, im needing the other hip done as well but dont have the anxiety knowing and trusting in him that all will be well and i will feel good after its done!! A great Doctor!!!!!

Dr. Higgins is an exceptional doctor in every way discussion and explanation of procedure surgery and hospital experience and follow up. Our orthopedic doctor that we had in another city left. We were not satisfied with other doctors we saw in that group. Because of family in the area we drove 3 hours to meet and talk with Dr. Higgins. We knew we wanted him to perform the knee replacement. We did not think we would find the quality of service we found in our last doctor or facility. Dr. Higgins and Erlanger Orthopedics exceeded anything we have had previously. Dr. Higgins performed the knee replacement and later performed a hip replacement for my husband. We are so thankful for such a talented knowledgeable kind doctor and facility. I fully recommend Dr. Higgins and Erlanger Orthopedic.

I thank God for Dr Higgins. He saw me on a weekend emergency basis. He is full of compassion and a great physician. I have never been to Erlanger but the care overall was top notch.

If you are searching for a Doctor that is an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner, I highly recommend Dr. Higgins. He preformed a total hip replacement on my daughter and we were very pleased.

He has been an amazing dr. for our family. I would highly recommend him. He took my sister, who had a fall at work and did hip replacement on her. He had a tight schedule but, he made room for her because of the emergency situation. He has a wonderful caring and compassionate manner about him. His knowledge about hips are outstanding. We were so thankful to have the opportunity to have had him as our doctor for my sister. He sat down after surgery and answered all of our questions with patience and a sincere attitude. I would definitely ask him to be our dr. again, if we needed one. Thank you so much from all of our family. We appreciate your hard work and knowledge. May God bless you daily.

Dr. Higgins did my husbands 2nd Hip replacement after he had battled many Blood infections, MRSA, and staph. He was amazing and very thorough. I especially like that he has a physician there on day shift that does ONLY his patients medication management while in the hospital. No need for the nurse to call the doctor is there is a problem.
