List of Nikhil Shah's Reviews
He's very sweet, caring and thorough. I feel like I'm in good hands and I'm glad I found him .
Dr. Shah has performed numerous colonoscopies and endoscopic procedures on me for many years. Very knowledgeable on NETs. Trust him 100%. So happy my oncologist recommended him.
I waited for two months to see Dr. Shah, then after a two hour wait he sent a nurse in to inform me that he doesn’t see patients with liver disease... unacceptable! He is supposed to be a G.I. Specialist.
Dr. Shah found 18 polyps, pre-cancerous that the VA didn't discover. He removed all of them. My husband was very happy with Dr. Shah and his surgery.
Dr Shah is very professional and thorough. Very happy with him taking the time to fully go over test results and answer questions. Felt he was genuinely concerned about my health. I would highly recommend Dr Shah.
Outstanding experience! Everyone in the office is nice and helpful. Scheduling was a breeze, the doctor was informative. The only area that I would like to see improve is the total wait time. Longer than necessary.
I found him to be very professional. I am impressed with the degree with which he communicates my test results. I would trust him to provide surgery and good follow up care for my family, too.
I was promised I would be completely knocked out for my colonoscopy. The paperwork I signed at the hospital said I wouldn't be. I double and triple checked with the staff and Dr Shah himself right before we started. I was knocked out but woke up at the end. I was unable to move much or speak but I felt and heard everything. It was traumatic. I even made eye contact with a nurse and kept blinking my eyes to let him know I was awake, he didn't care, just kept on chatting to dr shah. Before I went under I kept blinking my eyes so they wouldn't do my upper scope without me completely out. Dr Shah himself kept telling me to stop fighting it and to go to sleep. I wasn't fighting it! I just didn't want them to start before I was completely out. I know a couple hospital staff personally who have worked with him and they both said the same thing. Dr Shah (for whatever reason) tends to under medicate patients for things like this. Just sharing my experience. I do think he's super knowledgeable and I would go back to him if I needed to, but I wouldn't get another procedure by him if I could avoid it.
I am a current patient of Dr. Shah and would and have recommended him.
After my follow up appointment, I thought of a few additional questions. I called back the next day and he refused to answer them unless I made an additional appointment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
