Great Dr. Very personable explained my diagnosis clearly. I would recommend this Dr
Great doctor
I recently switched to Dr. Sekhar after 19+ months of out of control blood sugars after having Covid 19. I was sent by my primary doctors office to a see a different endocrinologist here in Chattanooga but they were VERY overbooked and understaffed and didn't help me try and figure out the issues to bring it down into a normal range. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a response from their office. After my calls with questions repeatedly went unreturned I gave up and asked my primary doctor to refer me to someone else. In just 4 weeks Dr. Sekhar has helped me drastically reduce my daily numbers and is working to help me get them to stay down. He actually takes the time to listen and answer my questions. He has his diabetic educator Jenny call me weekly to download my blood sugar log so he can adjust my medication accordingly. He and his entire office staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about controling their diabetes. He is a Godsend! I am go grateful for his help.
I highly recommend Dr. Sekhar. He studied the medical records, made and explained his preliminary diagnosis then ordered tests to confirm the condition. He took time to answer all questions. His professional demeanor was exemplary and the tests confirmed that his diagnosis was correct.
Unhelpful. Rude. Kept me on same medication and never felt better. Asked to change my meds and wouldn't. Instead he called up to the pharmacy like I was a child to verify I was taking my medicine. Like who likes feeling bad all day everyday? Of course I was taking the meds. Patient blaming. How about you do your job? Was with him over a year and never seen progress. Terrible communication. Will tell you one thing in the office and then it's something different when you get an email from him or a call from his office. No one is ever on the same page. Not consistent at all. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Looking for a new doctor as I type this. Highly unrecommended. Couldn't even remember my name or what we had discussed last. Extremely impersonal. Felt like he wasn't listening. I was just a bill he could collect off of insurance. Maybe if u had better insurance he would have cared more. If you are reading this....find another doctor. Seriously.
This doctor must be “special”. I called to switch to this doctor from Dr Huffman and was told to send over my medical records for Dr. Sekhar to review. After a week, I was told he will not accept me as a patient. Claiming that they don’t accept patients who jump from one doctor to another. We moved to Tennessee 3 years ago and have only had Dr Huffman as my endocrinologist. Before that, I had a doctor for 20 years in California. How can Dr. Sekhar claim that I’m “jumping” from one doctor to another. Why is it hard to find a good doctor in Tennessee. So the search continues for a endocrinologist.
He listens and takes time to explain everything. Staff is friendly.
I visited Dr. Sekhar today. Fast process getting into a room. Nice office staff! Dr. Sekhar took detailed notes and answered all my questions. He spent plenty of time in the room and explained everything after looking at data. The office is clean and the receptionist were all friendly.
Dr. Sekhar always explains everything to my understanding and makes sure he answers any questions I may have. He is straightforward, and I like that. He is a kind and personable doctor.
This man is truly a doctor because he wants to help people. No stone is left unturned in order for him to get to the root of the problem and he doesn't waste any time starting the process. He explains the tests he's done and gives you a clear, concise and confident diagnosis and treatment plan. I absolutely loved his personality as well. He is down to earth, friendly, and very upbeat. He is just himself...right down to his jeans, polo shirt and converse! Hands down the best doctor I've ever been to.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
