Today was my first appointment with Dr. Funderburk. I was very impressed with him and his staff. He was very nice. I will definitely go see him again.

kind and thoughtful doctor; great staff

I had an appt scheduled for 3:10pm and was running late so I called the office to see if I can still be seen. The receptionist said she'd ask the nurse if it's possible. Almost 10 minutes goes by and finally the receptionist says that I'll have to reschedule. I was very upset because it was raining cats and dogs and traffic was very bad. I told her that I need to speak to the nurse. Another 15 minutes goes by and finally the nurse asks where I am. I said in the building on the 1st floor. She told me to come up to the office and she'll ask the doctor If he could make room for me. I've been a patient for 15 years and have never ever been late or caused any problems for this doctor. I walked into the office and his staff was very rude. His nurse comes out and says that either I can reschedule or find another practice. I couldn't believe my ears. I know his time is precious and so is mine! It's very difficult for me to take time off from work but I did for this appointment only to be told the doctor won't see you. I was very hurt by that. Every time I visited his office, I had to wait at least 15-20 minutes before I saw the doctor. Couldn't they just wait 10 minutes for me? Obviously he doesn't care about his patients. If he did, he would've seen me. Well dr. just remember you are nothing without patients and you are not taking your hippocratic oath seriously. Patient satisfaction makes your practice. People interested in this doctor or his rude staff should think 3 times before going there. This is my 2nd posting of this matter because I'm pretty sure the previous one was erased.

Used Dr Funderburk for a few years now. I have macular degeneration wet in one eye. He does my injections. He has a Great staff! He is a great Dr. can’t imagine using anyone else! He is the best!!!

Quite simply, Dr. Funderburk saved my eyesight. I had sustained a torn retina in an accident, and my ophthalmologist referred me immediately to Dr. Funderburk. He immediately did laser surgery and tacked the torn retina down. Fifteen years later I've never had a problem with it. He was kind, professional, and effective. I owe him the eyesight in my left eye.

I would differently recommend Dr. Funderburg to any one with serious eye problems! Very informative!! Great Doctor!!

Dr. Funderburk is my hero! I came to him scared to death about going blind at age 43. After looking at my eyes he sent for some test and come to find out I have sarcoidisis and he now has my eyes straightened out and in with other doctors for all my other problems that come with this terrible disease. Thank you Dr. Funderburk and his staff is very professional and caring.

I have been seeing Dr. Funderburk for over 10 years. He treats me for Diabetic Retinopathy. I was extremely scared waiting for my first surgery and his staff was great easing my fear. He is the only doctor I would trust to handle any problems I have.

Technically good ,doesn't treat pain , cold uncaring .

Dr. Funderburk was very thorough and I came away knowing a lot more about my retina issue than I knew going in. He put me at ease immediately and I'm happy to have him as my Dr.
