List of Stephen V Dreskin's Reviews
I have been going to Dr. Dreskin for little over 2 years. I have had 3 epidural injections by him and 2 from one of his partners, Dr. Ball at the surgery center in Hixson. I've been to several office visits at both the Shallowford Rd. office and in Hixson, as well as several tele-med calls. While the Shallowford Rd. office may be somewhat plain in appearance, I have found the receptionist and the nurses/medical assistants to be very friendly and professional. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and other staff have always been very warm, friendly, attentive and competent. Dr. Dreskin himself has always treated me with respect, and has always been kind and compassionate when I've seen him. When medication and epidurals no longer helped, he referred me to a specialist which I greatly appreciated. My experiences with this doctor and his practice are very different from the negative reviews some people have posted. I highly recommend Dr. Dreskin.
I have had to go to the Shallowford Road office for some time now. I absolutely, positively, ultimately hate it. Majority of the staff, with a few exceptions, treat you like everyone is an addict. I simply have to go there because of governmental regulations. But I'm to tell you the Hixson office is much worse than the Shallowford office. You shouldn't be MADE to make appointments every 30 days if you don't take them that way.

I opted out of taking narcotics. At this point he opted out of helping me. I guess he wouldn’t make money off of drug and alcohol testing me once a week for narcotics. His office is completely incompetent. I left around ten messages begging for help. I was told by his nurse that “all pain management doctors have bad reviews and are all the same.” This statement showed me it’s all about money for him. It’s sickening. I’ve been in excruciating pain for months. Nothing was ever done. Do NOT see this office. Save yourself.
I wish I had read these reviews before I went to Dr. Dreskin. I met him once through a teleconference, and was told by his nurse that they were refusing to see me again. I have a severe case of osteoarthritis, and was dismissed without x-rays or an MRI. Like others wrote in their reviews, I was treated like a drug addict. If he refuses to help those who genuinely need it, why did he become a Dr.? His nurse called with the message that he refused to see me again. And she was extremely rude. No explanation, just don’t come back. And I won’t. I intend to spread the word not to go to this clinic.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this judgmental incompetent lying jerk of a doctor
Dr. Dreskin along with the nurse Crystal who assisted him have been informative and helpful. It always feels right when your Dr. and their team take the time to explain complicated processes and procedures that allow the patient to make informed decisions. Dr. Dreskin and Nurse Crystal get a thumbsup.
I cannot understand why anyone would give Dr. Dreskin less than a 5. My husband has been there for lumbar epidural 3 times and has had nothing short of an excellent experience. The Doctor and the entire staff has been professional in every way...I don't get the "god complex." He is nothing like that, but just the opposite. He is a humble man with a very polite and caring attitude. Both my husband and I have been treated with utmost respect. We have also witnessed his treatment of the other patients and his staff during the visits, and can verify that he has been consistent in his consideration for the well being of everyone.
Dr. Dreskin was the same unsympathetic uncaring individual that he was the first time I saw him years ago. He was completely unwilling in any way to do anything that would have really helped me. I tried to get through to him but I was completely unable to get him to help in any way that would have stopped my pain. He is totally deaf to anyone who needs medications that will really help in any significant way. He is completely lacking in any compassion for those who have not experienced any significant relief from nonnarcotic analgesics. If you are going to him with any hope of relief from severe pain you are completely wasting your time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
