The Fertility Center's Online Review Report Card

I'm a bit late writing this review ( nearly 5 years to be exact seeing as how our fertility baby just turned 4 recently. ) After nearly 8 years of trying, my husband and I took a leap of faith and scheduled an appointment at The Fertility Center in Chattanooga TN. Immediately we were advised on the costs, and prepared for the tests. Dr.Donesky was incredibly knowledgeable and explained every little detail to us, including our options moving forward. After much discussion between my husband and I, and many prayers, we decided to go the IUI as our first option. We were then transferred to Ms.Katie ( I do apologize but I do not know her last name. ) To this day- my husband and I say Katie is our favorite lady. She was so professional, yet always spunky and just a breathe of fresh air during the stressful emotional journey that infertility is. We went through all the tests, the medication, the ovulation shot and it's IUI day. Due to a conflicting work schedule, my husband could not go with me for the IUI so I took myself. Nervous was an understatement. Katie came in, professional and happy as always. She did our IUI, explaining every step. Fast forward and thank God our first IUI was successful. The Fertility Center proceeded to have us in weekly for blood draws and ultrasounds to ensure our precious boy was healthy and developing as he should. Each visit, the entire staff greeted us with smiles. They even allowed all the grandparents to gather in for our ultrasounds, always being so supportive. We eventually got released from The Fertility Center and transferred to a regular OB. Mercy were we spoiled with the weekly ultrasounds because regular OBs are very stingy with those haha. I've read bad reviews but I have to say- for my husband and I- Dr.Donesky, especially Katie, and the staff were so wonderful to us and we thank God we took the leap to go to The Fertility Center in Chattanooga TN. Our sweet miracle boy is thriving and happy. We are forever grateful for the team at The Fertility Center.

My partner and I are extremely disappointed with the way this clinic has handled our situation. After scheduling an appointment a month ago, we were informed at the last minute that they are no longer providing the donor services we needed. This should have been disclosed immediately, not just days before the appointment. What’s even more concerning is their vague explanation that "some donor cases are more complicating and require more time." This statement made us feel that, as a homosexual couple, our case was considered more difficult or less important to handle. It comes across as discriminatory, and we were left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. The clinic should be ashamed of such behavior. Their lack of transparency and last-minute communication shows a complete disregard for their patients' time and needs. To anyone considering this clinic—be cautious, especially if you're a part of the LGBTQ+ community. We expected professionalism and fairness, but unfortunately, that was far from what we experienced.

There was some misunderstanding. I probably shouldn't have left a review yet because we have only gone through one cycle, but they ended up not performing a IUI for the first cycle even though we paid for one.

The Doctors and staff at The Fertility Center are absolutely wonderful! Every time we go there they are so kind, considerate, helpful, knowledgable, and professional. We have gone there for two pregnancy's now, (the first being for our little boy who is almost 3 now, and also for the baby I'm currently pregnant with). Dr. Donesky specifically has gone above and beyond to be there for us as we struggled to get pregnant this last time around. He answered all my questions, and was kind and considerate beyond belief. He also had many great recommendations for things to try to help us this time around. What a blessing The Fertility Center has been to help grow our family!!! Thank you so much. If you are looking for any help with fertility struggles, we very highly recommended Dr. Donesky, Katie (their awesome NP), and the whole staff and doctors at The Fertility Center!

My wife and I were recommended to this fertility clinic and have honestly appreciated all the help they have given us. We’ve taken a small break the past year that we’ve been coming into the office, but the staff has always treated us with genuine care every time, as well as receiving the same care treatment on the provided online portal. We’ve yet to be successful in our first attempts, but we have full trust in the staff and Dr.Bird on their vast knowledge on timing and consistency. Some of these procedures as well seem costly, but are actually very affordable compared to what other clinics charge. We haven’t encountered any hidden fees or “money-hungry” tactics as others have mentioned. However, my wife and I were very committed to researching a lot into different procedures and met with the financial advisor during our consultation to ensure we ask every question we could to clarify any questions or circumstances that may come with the financial standpoint of everything. This is a great clinic with wonderful people - we greatly appreciate everything we’ve been provided with everyone.

My wife and I struggled with fertility for 5-1/2 years when we heard of Dr. Joseph Bird and he was absolutely wonderful to work with. He actually listed to my wife and confirmed she was right about her condition when other clinics dismissed her concerns. Dr. Bird helped correct the issue and told us within 3-6 months we should get pregnant. Like clockwork, we conceived on month 3. We’re thankful God lead us to Dr. Bird at The Fertility Center.

I found this clinic using a Google search engine because I was seeking help with bio- identical hormone therapy for prepping for IVF and also for help with healing a delayed surgical fusion of the Lumbar spine which I had in May of 2021. My OBGYN in NC was unaware he could prescribe bio-identical hormones and he wasn't sure how to safely prescribe them for what my needs were. I saw Dr. Donesky July of 2023 and he prescribed for me estrogen and progesterone explaining everything in detail as to why I needed progesterone to protect me from uterine cancer and that delivering the medication transdermally would protect my liver from damage. I had spinal X-rays in December of 2023 and finally I achieved full fusion of this segment and my body is better prepared now to undergo IVF. I was however turned down by this clinic for IVF and an embryo transfer stating that their clinic has an age limit of 55. I am 59 and recently entered menopause. However when I called to make an appointment with the clinic the front desk person informed me there was no age limit saying "We don't turn anyone away." So, I was shocked to finally be turned away. I became somewhat depressed for a couple months after being turned away because of my age. It wasn't until December of 2023 when I discovered that my lumbar fusion finally healed that I realized God led me to this clinic, not for IVF, but to find healing. And for that I am so grateful. Thank you! Truly, thank you! I also respect the clinics decision to turn me away due to my age. But I had my hopes up because of what the front desk person initially told me. So, I felt let down to hear they have an age limit. I hope the clinic will communicate with the front desk staff better in the future. However in my case had they, I wouldn't have come and received the help with hormone therapy which I so much needed. So, in my case all went perfectly well. I will take this knowledge gained with me to a Russian IVF clinic where I will go to be with my future husband so the doctors there can provide better care for me.

My husband and I came to Dr. Donesky from recommendation as our last resort. We traveled from Central Arkansas and even that being the case we are BEYOND happy with the experiences we’ve had at the Fertility Center. They’ve accommodated our being from another area, they are very attentive to messages and phone calls, and Dr. Donesky was very kind and good at explaining next steps along our journey. Without them we wouldn’t have our son. We cannot wait to return for baby number two and recommend them 100000%!

We had an amazing experience at The Fertility Center. Dr. Donesky and his staff became like family during our most difficult season. They walked us through each process and procedure and were just a call or message away when we had questions. Forever thankful!
