THIS PLACE IS RACIST IT USES YOUR TAX DOLLARS TO CARE FOR NOTHING BUT CRIMINAL INVADERS IN OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY

They should be ashamed of themselves the way they treat people. Doctors and staff are disrespectful, condescending, dismissive, and aggressively incompetent. I requested my x-rays and was told they didn’t have them and they couldn’t tell me who does. They furnished my chart though which blatantly profiles me noting that I dress in all black with facial piercings and black nail polish while completely failing to mention more relevant details of my situation. One of the staff even strongly suggested that my unbearable chronic pain could benefit from prayer which made me wildly uncomfortable. Like I must’ve done something super sinful to deserve the amount of pain that I’m in, made obvious to them by my piercings and black nail polish. Unhelpful, uncaring, unprofessional, unrecommended, go someplace else. Literally anywhere else.

I personally met with Sharon Stewart, the Clinical Manager. She was referred to me by a friend, and the experience was devastating. I went to VIM out of desperation, as I'm homeless, trying to obtain SSI, and unable to maintain full time employment due to emotional issues, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and PTSD. Sharon told me that "Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue were subjective and that people who had these conditions did work". I've not been able to get support from the other doctors that I need. I really was hoping that I would be seen, heard and understood; shown compassion and empathy for the long and difficult road that I've been on. I wept in Sharon's office as I realized quickly on, that she was not seeing or hearing or understanding me, and that I was not going to get the support that I so desperately need. I felt dismissed, and invalidated. The answers that she gave me were flippant and trite, and left me with feelings of hopelessness and despair and not knowing where to go next or to whom I could turn. My heart breaks for those who desperately need a certain kind of help and assistance and support and find themselves not able to get it. That was my experience with Volunteers in medicine. I will say, the receptionist was very nice. The lack of care and emotional support along with the lack of communication skills like active listening, reflective listening emotional intelligence only left me more traumatized and feeling hopeless.

They are wonderful kind friendly and helpful great Dr's I loved going there and have never found a Dr I like better than the ones there I highly recommend them and pray they get lot's of donations they even got me glasses gave me all my medicine free I love them.

These people don’t want to give you the medicine you need. They want to poke, prod, and scan you until they’ve racked up some bills on you, THEN do even more tests! I was fatigued, no energy, VERY high blood pressure, and desperate for answers because I was short on money and time. I wanted to get back to work before I lost my job, but they took several weeks (nearly a month) to do testing without bothering to get test results recently done on me by other doctors. They wanted to keep doing the same tests!! And they would try to randomly schedule appointments for me without my consent! I still ended up having to use money I didn’t have to see another doctor I couldn’t really afford, but it’s ok because I’ve FINALLY got the medication I needed now! No thanks to VIM!! Learned my lesson: never come here, even if you are desperate! You get the quality of service you pay for. Don’t hold your breathe if it’s free! You’ll end up dead before they notice. They care about how they can make money off of you, but not about your life!
