List of American Family Care Madison Street Commons's Reviews
The nurses in the back and the doctor were very friendly but the receptionist was rude when I called and even more rude when I showed up. I called again today just to get a fax number and she hung up on me before I was finished talking.
This place has been very friendly and accommodating for my family and I. And theyre not even that expensive for uninsured people.
The front desk people are super unnecessarily rude and inconsiderate
I’ve have been a patient at this facility for almost 4 yrs. I’ve had 4 different Drs. here due to either getting fired or leaving for better work. These people here don’t care about the people all they want is to get money by making you get blood work done or making you come in for a office visit in order to get your prescriptions refilled. I’m 55 yrs old have been a Type 1 diabetic for 40 yrs and they still want to hold you hostage by not refilling prescriptions and then when you do fast to get blood work done keep you there for 3 hrs. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. TOTALLY UNEXCEPTIONABLE
I must have went there on an off day. The wait I get it but once youre back there it shouldnt take half the day just to be seen and once my care was finished I wasnt even told I can leave. I was just left sitting in the exam room for 45 minutes until I poked my head out and asked if there was anything else. And the doc that saw me didnt seem to know what I was even there for even after telling him twice.
I tried taking my son in yesterday and was turned away because they weren’t accepting any more patients this was at 11 am and there were 2 people in the waiting room. I was told just to take him to the ER. Even though he most likely has an ear infection the option they gave was an unnecessary ER trip and a $200 copay. No thanks. Because we were unable to have him seen by anyone our family trip was canceled. I then called this morning to see if they were busy and was rudely told that they are unwilling to see my son because of his age and he has to see his primary care doctor…on a holiday. Apparently this isn’t family care after all.
WARNING They say they accept Tricare yet we have been billed for services because Tricare denied claim. Called Tricare and was informed that AFC is no longer certified to accept Tricare.
DO NOT go here. The lady at the front desk today was one of the rudest receptionists that i have ever met. I stood there for about 34 minutes with her literally starring at me not saying a word. Nobody was in front of me either. Then she finally with a horrible attitude asked me what I needed. I told her that I needed to get my daughter tested and she said well we don’t have anymore appointments for today. I truly understand that it’s hard for people to get in to get tested but that wasn’t my issue. My issue with her was the lack of communication skills. If you’re looking for incredible staff I would highly recommend Ascension St. Thomas on either Ft. Campbell Blvd or the one on Tiny Town. I’ve been to both and they are all so kind .
I literally waited 6hours in the car for them to tell me I still have 10 people before me still. So I went down the street to eat something. They called me really soon after I left saying I had 10 minutes to be back there. I didn’t know 10 people could be seen and treated in under 20 minutes. Long story short they need to be more specific when they say your wait will only be “a couple of hours” I waited in pain all day long damn near in tears and the front desk lady was rude when I asked a simple question of how many people were ahead of me so I could go eat real fast. If you are in pain or need something checked out in a timely manner I would not go here. I went right down the street to another branch and was seen almost immediately.
I was there a few months ago and I believe they were putting people ahead of me out of retaliation. I questioned there policy of asking aloud what was I in for . That is private information and I should not have to respond aloud to the receptionist my problem through plexiglass. I know I was there ahead of some .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
