Declined service after arrival due to Medicare coverage. Made appointment and advised insurance coverage but after arrival I was declined service initially because they would not do business with my Medicare supplement provider. Accepted the insurance company but refused to do business with them because they charged a banking transfer fee. They are however very quick to charge their own fees. Double standard. OK, so I suggested I will pay that portion and you only use Medicare. Still declined to provide service. Wasted afternoon and one hour driving. This is no reflection on skill of Doctor, only the way he conducts business. Staff also has double standard. You must wear mask, which is fine, but it’s OK if they ware theirs on the chin. Useless.
Just finished my 1st colonoscopy with Dr. Patel. Lord how I dreaded it. He and his staff were so friendly and the procedure was not nearly as bad as I thought that it would be. My wife had a very bad experience with this procedure at a clinic in Nashville so I know the difference between a bad one and a good one now. I can't imagine anyone giving Dr Patel or his staff a bad review. They were awesome!
I was denied by this office because 2019 I missed my appointment because of death in my family. They didnt care about loss only that I was a No Show. May God continue to blessed those who work in the medical yet this facility is hell bound for rejecting people who need help. #retiredvet
Dr. Patel was very kind. We met together before my procedure so that he could explain all that would be done. He gave me opportunity to ask any question I wanted to ask. His staff at the front desk were kind and helpful. His wife, Mrs. Patel met with me to get information on my medical history before the doctor arrived. She is very engaging and pleasant to talk to. On the day of the procedure the nurse met with me and helped prepare me for the procedure. She made sure I was well taken care of and made me comfortable before and after the procedure. A follow up appointment was scheduled to go over the results to make sure I understand all the implications. I would certainly recommend Dr. Patel and his staff at this clinic to anyone.
The office environment is very cold and unwelcoming. The wait time for a less than ten minute visit with him was disappointing. There were no vitals taken at all before or after the appointment. I found Dr. Patel to be condescending, arrogant and seemed quite annoyed if you had questions or concerns. I left the office with many unanswered questions. I would not recommend him to anyone.
I'm at a total shock how I was treated over the phone. I have been treated by Dr Patel and had a procedure done December 2017 knowing of the possibility of having to have it redone multiple times. Well I have put it off long enough and went on my patient portal to request an appointment. I received a response to call office for an appointment. So I called to make an appointment. I was so rudely interrupted and asked if I still had a certain insurance and said if so I would have to have procedure done at hospital which I was aware of but I informed the lady that the insurance had changed. She asked what insurance I had and I told her and she quickly said that they weren't in the network. So they couldn't see me. That I needed to find a provider in network because I would be paying full cost being out of network. Well I hung up with them and went back online to my health coverage benefits info and as I had previously pulled up seeking coverage of providers there it was. Dr Anil Patel is in network for my health plan. So I called back and asked for an appointment again. They asked my info again and I told them that I hey had just said that they didn't accept my insurance and I informed her that they are in my network. And their response was quick to say that they weren't accepting any new patients. I stated that I'm not a new patient and they're in my network. Then she goes on to say that they are handed and short staffed and that they are booked up past February. So first was told not in the network then not accepting new patients because short staffed and busy.bi would have been okay for scheduling an appointment for after February but it was obvious that they didn't want to be bothered by me. My husband has also seen him for complications but we both will get our medical records and not be returning to their practice. Very rude and unprofessional. I'm very disappointed because has for Dr Patel, we were pleased with his care and treatment for us. His staff on the other hand not at all!!!
I had a great first appointment with Dr. Patel and his staff. They were courteous, respectful, kind, and professional. I didn't have to sit in the lobby for an unreasonable amount of time before being seen. Dr. Patel is a straight forward Dr, which I really like. I have no complaints whatsoever.
My dear friend went for a colonoscopy in August of 2017. He was referred due to high risk of colon cancer due to symptoms he discussed with his primary Dr. It coincided with his 5 year check up. Dr Patel treated the colonoscopy as a check up. No stool samples or biopsies of any kind. In June of 2018, less than 1 year, my loved one was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and passed away in August 2018. Dr Patel had the audacity to come to his funeral and was promptly escorted out.
My wife was denied medical care by this office. Due to a ridiculous policy they will not accept patients that have previously been seen at other offices. My wife was only referred to this office due to conflicts with her work schedule and initial GI Dr office hours. When contacted to explain the situation the office manager/wife of Dr patel was rude and had no sympathy for my wife’s situation. With the personal interaction my wife and I had it seems patient care is the last thing they care about.
I was extremely pleased with my experience of having a colonoscopy here with Dr Patel. The whole staff is professional, caring, knowledgeable and efficient! The location is convenient, clean and the technology is up to date. I highly recommend this Dr and his staff of professionals.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
