Dr Tran is straight forward about scans, what needs to be done, exact procedures with chemo, etc and excellent with referrals for other specialists! He’s on top of it no matter what is needed! Never waste any time! If it’s something you don’t want to do, he is very respectful of what you want or don’t want regarding certain meds or treatments, he lets you make that decision, he is very honest and upfront! Doesn’t sugar coat any situation, I like that about him!

My dad was referred to this MD for cancer and he gave us two options: hardcore chemo or hospice. We decided to get second opinion and so glad we did!!! There are more options out there! Also this doc is never on time and runs almost an hour late no matter how full the waiting room. Also don’t expect any empathy or caring - it’s just a job for him.

Dr Tran is amazing!!!! He truly cares about his patients and it shows! The entire staff of Tennessee Oncology are friendly and very knowledgeable people!!!!

I truly believe I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Dr Tran. He has been my doctor for almost 5 yrs. I think he is one of the best doctors in the WORLD!!!!

The nurses and staff were great, however Dr. Tran should not be practicing in the oncology field. His bedside manner is ridiculous. We inquired about trials and he said and I quote "if you want a trial go find one yourself" I explained we had and he said he had nothing to offer us. The chemo was taking a toll on my Dad, so we were interested in options such as a possible break. When we asked about a break, Dr. Tran stated "that you can do whatever you want to do just as I can. So when you decide to start chemo again I can tell you NO". What in the world kind of statement is that from a caring oncologist to a patient dying with incurable cancer seeking alternatives. This doctor is not a good doctor for this field, he should be nowhere near dying or cancer enduring patients.

This place is amazing. Dr. Trans is a wonderful doctor and so caring. The staff is absolutely incredible. The nurses in the treatment room are just wonderful. All I can say is thank you to all of you in your kindness.
