What a blessing Dr. Vertrees was during one of the most emotional times in our lives. After receiving a diagnosis of cancer, my world seemed to be a whirlwind of information and decisions that had to be made. Some other doctors were not so sensitive to the choices I and my family were making. Although Dr. Vertrees may not have agreed with our choices; she was completely supportive and followed through by moving forward with surgery and follow up as we chose to have done. She was such a friendly and positive part of “my people” that helped me through and I will always be grateful that she is the one God put in our lives at the exact moment we needed her! Great surgeon! Wonderful human! A joy of a person! Love you Dr. V.
