Should be minus 10 stars. Not sure should be reading x-rays. Very shady operation.
If there is a "0" star, I would choose it. Had $8.33 balance on a MRI taken in April. On May 4th I received a statement. Prepared a check and mailed immediately. The check cleared my bank account on Tuesday May 11th. Rcdv. a bill today on email. Called and got a "collector" this morning that told me my check had not been received or it was posted to the another account, and, that the check was probably posted to another account, but could not help me further. Said he "might talk with me again when it hit collections"!!!
A bunch of crooks! Billing office is impossible to reach to fix billing errors. I wish that our local hospitals would use someone else for x-rays, mri, and mammogram readings. I appealed a bill because it was supposed to be covered 100% and the insurance fixed it as it should be now they have doubled my bill after insurance says I owe them nothing now. Government needs to step in on this one for medicare fraud on the patients that don't know any better!
Placed on hold for 5 minutes. Spoke to a representative where they suggested I speak to a supervisor. Placed back in the queue for 20 minutes. Spoke to a second representative. Finally connected with a supervisor. The blamed another company after I offered documentation where I paid in advance and verified that a third party would not bill me twice. They did not care and only started listening when I shared that I would be submitting a BBB complaint. Don't waste your time. They don't care about patients, you, nor me. Their ratings show that.
I received a bill from them. So I called because I have FULL coverage insurance(for 18yrs now). I was immediately transferred THEN sat on hold for 10min.....just be to transferred AGAIN to a General Voicemail(and let me remind you that I NEVER once talked to a HUMAN, all automated)!.....So frustrated right now! Grrrr....So now I wait, patiently.....VERY difficult to handle one's affairs when you have to rely on ROBOTS. ........just saying
If I could give zero stars I would! These are the most incompetent people I've ever dealt with. I have been getting a bill for a year that I shouldn't. Call monthly and it doesn't get fixed! Instead they are rude and hateful and act like it isn't their job to make sure things are accurate.
These are the most difficult office to contact for billing problems! On hold for a long time including leaving a number for them to call back! Wish we had a choice other than them!
Southern Radiology Associates are a group of apparently totally incompetent people who should be driven out of business. I am now on my third snafu with them. The last one got me in collections because they double billed me and would not do a thing about it. I spent a ridiculous amount of time getting it corrected. I do believe federal or state intervention is warranted. This time they billed us for $100 and my EOB says $12.35. Of course they know nothing about this. Since it is on my wife, I need her authorization. To avoid that I have faxed the authorization 2 to 3 times but every time I call them, they have no knowledge of it. People this incompetent should not be in business. If you have had trouble with them, please contact your state government officials to complain. Maybe when they hear from enough of us they will intervene. Pray to God you never use a provider that bills through them. I have gotten to where I ask before services if the provider has anything to do with them and am even considering changing hospitals to avoid them.
They read my MRI and billed it as 'experimental' to my insurance so now EVERYTHING but their bill was paid. I called BCBS - they said they did not pay due to how the office coded it. I called billing and tried to explain it must have been coded wrong because how can reading a mamo MRI be 'experimental' but no other part of the testing is. The woman was very rude. I felt i was a big imposition to her. Told me no one codes them there and they weren't going to change the 1cd9/10 coding.
I was sent a bill by text today. I called them back and they had not even submitted it to my insurance company.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
