Very knowledgeable,organized and straightforward.
Dr Messenger is awesome! He genuinely cares and will answer all your questions after being thorough in explaining everything. He's very knowledgeable!
Personality of a pole cat. No bedside manner. Insulting. When he came in he wanted to talk to my daughter (which by the way is my wife) I am the patient. Very unprofessional. When the nurse practitioner came in she said my RBC was 5.91 when he came in he said it was too high to get iron. Mysteriously when I checked it on their app it showed 6.23 . I went less than 24 hours later and had it checked myself and it was 5.93. hmmm .... I tried to call the complaint number and it says not able to complete my call .... It's the number listed on the website ... Lots of inconsistent information for someone who is supposed to help. My insurance paid a lot of money for these services ?!!?! Thinking about going farther with this. NOTE : NO ONE RESPONDED TO THIS 🤔 . Finally got a response that said someone would contact me ..... CRICKETS .... IT'S TIME TO GO ANOTHER ROUTE ....
Time for him to retire I think. Dr.Messanger doesn't care too much to actually find the problem, he just kind of does whatever. He didn't even really seem to actually look over my lab results, I had to bring up an abnormal results myself and he suggested a treatment. Red flag. My red counts were high, hematocrit high, and hemoglobin high. But iron saturation low. I brought this up and he said "Oh is it? Let me go look" then left and came back, and He said 2 iron treatments but then said 5 after he saw insurance would approve 5 and pay it out. Another red flag. I got a second opinion and was told Iron treatments could actually put me at risk for clots if my red counts are already elevated and everything else is normal. So, needless to say I will be looking for a different provider.
I would highly recommend Dr Mark Messenger for anyone who needs to see a hematologist! He is the very best I’ve ever been to and he explains everything to you!
Dr. Messenger had a great bed side manner and carefully explained my diagnosis and treatment plans.
Dr. Messenger is a very intelligent Dr. He explains everything to me so I can understand what is going on with my treatment. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Mark was thorough enough to address getting more details of my care in CA before recommending any form of treatment plans.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
