List of Carl Carl Hollmann's Reviews
Dr Hollman is awful. I am not a patient of his, but he treated my mother very poorly when she was there. I do not recommend anyone to go there unless you want to be treated unfairly and asked personal, irrelevant and judgmental questions that can be very hurtful.
I was referred to Dr. Carl Hollmann, from the Cookeville ER, & after a mountain of paperwork, I finally got to see Dr. Hollman, & (only for about 5 mins. tops) he told me that I had a clean break in my left foot, & also let me know that surgery would not help matters either, but yet, he didn't even prescribe any pain medication, until I stressed to his tech, that it would definately be appreciated, if he could please have me something called in, so after waiting for a total of 2 hrs., @ this joke of a dr.'s office, & literally having to beg for pain medication, he only called in 20, 5mg. hydrocodones for my broke foot, only 2 wks. ago, & I'm doing my best, not to have to go back to him, ever again. This is who Cookeville ER refers me to, after their X-rays of a fractured foot, because I made the mistake, of telling them that I was Indegent, (since I don't have any insurance), & I was just being honest, just like I am now, about not having to go back again, unless I absolutely have to, in order 2 get my referral to see someone here, locally, of course.
The wait was long but once seeing the dr, he was thorough and quick.
I developed a condition which required a total hip replacement. I had this procedure in Florida 4 years prior on the other hip. I was very impressed with Dr. Hollmann's abilities and approach. I am a straight forward guy and that is the way Dr. approached the situation. Its a medical issue and there was no beating around the bushes. His care and concern could be seen in his face and care after the surgery, (17 days ago) 2 thumbs up to the staff and Dr.
Very professional, shows an interest in your health concerns. Willing to listen to you, before making a recommendation for your individual case. I highly recommend Dr Hollmann.
Would not use his physician for my dog! He handled my sons surgery and it has been nothing but a nightmare. It's been 9 months and my son is still in pain, hasn't healed appropriately, and gets no feedback from Dr. Hollmann except for...I don't know why it's not healing, NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU DOCTOR! Would NOT recommend him to ANYONE! He has a terrible bedside manner and avoids answering any of my sons questions, have to wonder, is it incompetence or just flat out rude!?!
I am still having problems with my hip one year after it was replaced!
Went in with recent MRI and still had to get X-RAYS. Refused to discuss anything because I was on pain medication which I'd like to come off of . Nothing but a RUDE BURNOUT OF A DOCTOR and waste of a co-payment
I totally understand not all doctors am I going to like, but...he I will not ever like Dr. Nichols. His delivery in his knowledge is poorly articulated. He reminded me of a drill sargent barking out movements for me to mimic. His actions really showed he could care less I am a human and I pay his salary along with my insurance. Some of his remarks were, "You need to sit up straight so you don't become a bent over old woman" Not one time did he listen when I told him the most painful spot on my shoulder was marked with a pen so because he was not in the mood to even discuss how I hurt my shoulder, he ignored my comment which meant I will have to return in a week to get the third shot in my shoulder. He did ask if I wanted Physical Therapy since my condition is chronic, but let me say this, my idea of chronic is when you are in and out of a doctor's office many times for the same condition, this is the second time in my life I have ever had to have shots in my shoulder or seen a doctor for any issues and this is the second time in 1.5 years, is that chronic or acute? Due to his "tone" of voice and his delivery toward me barking out orders, I did ask him, "Are you mad at me?" He sounded as though he was mad that I may have not been doing something right in order to have caused this problem. Another remark to me was after I commented about how fast he talked he said, "You got in to see me today. I have a job to do and that is to get you in, treat the problem, and send you on your way. I believe your time is as important as my time." I heard, "You are privileged to have been able to get in and get treatment today, so feel lucky" He did NOT say what I heard, but due to his delivery and actions, that is what I heard. Let me reiterate, I don't have to like a doctor, but I have to trust them in order for me to feel assured the best treatment is given to me. If I don't like you as a person, there is a good chance I will not trust you. My hope is that the two shots he has given me will help with my condition, and I plan to go in and get my third from him and hopefully my last shot and that one will finish with what I need done to have a good quality of life, then I will come back on here and say that I still don't like him but I will have good things to say based on his choice of treatment for me; however, I will say that if Dr. Hollman is available and it is not an urgent issue, as this was, I will see Dr. Hollman for future issues.
Doctor spent no more than 4 minutes in room, door opened said there is nothing wrong, would not Answer any questions, appeared to be blood splatter on wall behind exam table with smears, had second opinion and have major damage going to require surgery and follow ups. Would not recommend him to anyone looking for answers.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
