Dr. Buchanan is one of the most intelligent physicians I have known. From having been in the medical profession myself since 1968, I am highly qualified to make the above statement and give him five (5) stars!

This doctor is all about profit and not about honoring the Hippocrates oath, his staff is very unprofessional. If you are Senior on Medicare you are not welcome.. I would not recommended him base on his unprofessional office staff. Slamming the phone down on a patient is definitely not professional.

Dr. Buchanan has been my Primary Care Dr for years and I would absolutely recommend him. He really does care about the wellbeing of his patients and it shows through his work.

We are fortunate to have been patients of Dr. Buchanan since we moved to the Cumberland Plateau. Dr. Buchanan listens, asks pertinent questions, and proceeds with sensible care. When a specialist has been needed, Dr. Buchanan has always recommended excellent quality doctors. His physician's assistants and staff are helpful and professional. We have found Dr. Buchanan to be knowledgeable, kind, and patient. His sense of humor is delightful, which is not mandatory for a doctor to have, but makes visits pleasant.

I Chose Dr. Buchanan after my old MD moved away. He has been great. Has always taken me in the same day I called with problems. Spends time with me and discusses options with me. Does not seem to think that losing weight is only answer to all my problems like old MD did. This man has common sense and great bedside manners. Recently he probably saved my life after going to him with what seemed like gas pains in my chest. He ran EKG and X-rays. Even though all looked good he sent me to Hospital for one more blood test to rule out heart attack. Test showed my Troponin level was at 40. Having major attack in right main. After Quadruple bypass I have him and many more to thank for their care that got me through this. Reccomend him highly.
