I saw Dr. Wheeler for the first time today. She is excellent! She is knowledgeable, very thorough, and helpful. I was very impressed and highly recommend her to anyone. This is where I will go for my eye care in the future.

About 4 months ago I started noticing some changes in my vision. I assumed my cataracts had gotten worse. I went to see Dr Wheeler on a Friday afternoon at 4:00. Regardless of the late time in the day and week, Dr Wheeler proceeded to treat me with the same quality time and care that she always does. Upon her initial exam she immediately noticed a problem. She proceeded to make pictures of my eye behind the eyeball and found problems. She then shared the images with me and explained that I had bleeding in the right eye. She immediately contacted a retina specialist from TN Retina who comes to Cookeville from their Nashville office and was able to set me an appointment for Monday morning at 8:30. After thorough exams they confirmed Dr Wheeler's diagnosis and have been treating me with eye injections monthly since then. I am happy to report my vision has tremendously improved and the eye issues almost corrected. I will always give Dr Wheeler credit and thanks for being so thorough and taking the necessary steps so quickly to help me with this serious problem. We are very blessed to have a doctor of her caliber here in Cookeville.
