List of Laura J Blakely's Reviews
Dr. Blakely was very professional and thorough on my 1st visit I've had. She has such a good support system at her office with the employees there. I had transferred from another Oncologist, and I feel I've made a good choice. Would highly recommend Tn Oncology and Dr Blakely.
This was my first visit to Tennessee Oncology. I had a great experience with Dr. Blakely. She seemed knowledgeable and caring, and I felt she listened to my concerns.
Dr. Blakely , She is an awsome doctor I am so happy I found her an feel much better about my condition..I wish I had found her sooner.
Very professional, yet friendly, thorough, and caring. She really made me feel comfortable despite the situation.
Dr. Blakely was very upfront and direct to the point. She seemed to care and took her time with me.
She explained everything in language I could understand and actually called me personally about the results of some tests.
I understand that having cancer can be a highly charged emotional situation, so I guess some negative reviews would not be unexpected. I've had 3 different types of cancer/leukemias and been through surgeries, radiation and chemo 3 different times. I've had some really good doctors in my life, two of them fabulous, and Dr. Blakely is at the top of the list. When I moved to Tennessee from Illinois, my CLL resurfaced. My wife did some research, and suggested I go to Dr. Blakely. What a blessing she has been! She walked into my first appointment asking relevant questions because she had read the information I had spent 30 minutes writing down. Of the dozens of doctors I have seen in my lifetime, I have only had two other doctors do that. I was nervous about the prospect of going through chemotherapy a third time. Dr. Blakely said she would take care of me like she would her own dad. And she's done just that! There hardly seem to be enough superlatives to describe Dr. Blakely, but caring, compassionate, patient, reassuring and kind would be a good start. I have also, always found her entire support staff, nurses and office personnel, to be gracious and helpful.
I have had a few really good doctors in my life. Two of them, with Dr. Blakely at the top of the list, have been beyond fabulous! She is not only a terrific doctor, but also a marvelous person. I had been through chemo twice for two different cancer/leukemias when I moved to Tennessee. When my CLL resurfaced, she was reassuring, compassionate and kind and her treatment has gotten me to a really good place with that disease. I would take up way too much space detailing the incredible caring of this wonderful doctor.
This woman is focused on being noticed and she is very deceptive when it comes to telling the patient the truth about their cancer diagnosis. She kept telling my husband he "might" be able to do into a clinical trail for his lung cancer and after getting our hopes up says his cancer just wasn't the right kind for the trial. Even when he was in the hospital on his last days she still did not tell us any details about his PET scans or any of the tests he went through. She is the worst excuse for a doctor I've even seen. My husband died after 2 1/2 months of being diagnosed and she NEVER came clean with us about the seriousness of his cancer. Stay away from this one!
She is amazing, very upbeat and positive.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
