Very prideful, got really upset when I wouldn’t let her give my medically complex child antibiotics before we had an X-ray, bloodwork, positive test, something that would suggest he needed antibiotics. Then again got her ego hurt when she purposefully started throwing around big medical terminology to try to scare me into more invasive procedures, threatened to take custody of my child, and life flighted him to Vanderbilt because she panicked at what was his baseline. We were released 4 hours later with a virus diagnosis, no antibiotics needed. Literally panicked and sent us via helicopter over a virus! She needs to realize parents with complex children know their children best and not get butt her when someone disagrees. She is a bully and I have heard from multiple people she bullies her emergency patients and is over the top invasive and from an anonymous nurse that she bullies nurses and RTs.

Dr. Samantha McLerran was my doctor several years ago... My family and I were new to Livingston, TN. I needed a PCP and was lucky to find Dr. McLerran. She is compassionate with an excellent "bedside" manner. She takes time with her patients; listens to them.

I was treated at Cookeville regional medical center by Dr. McLerren and found her to be patient, thorough and compassionate. She took extra steps to make sure that I did not have a blood clot, was very professional in her approach, Told me upfront how long I could expect to be in the emergency room, and was very sensitive to my needs. I felt well cared for during the time I was there.

Just got home from the ER my fiance Amanda fell from a 6-foot ladder breaking her leg tonight the service at the hospital was good but when it came time to feel her prescription for pain medicine that's when the issues started. We have no insurance and very little money the PA knew this and the doctor prescribed 30 800mg ibuprofen and 12 Norco 5 which is a Hydrocodone the total came to around $50 we are on a very tight budget and I only have $40 to my name and will not be getting any more money for days. When I asked the pharmacist to see if she could just feel the Norco because I had ibuprofen at home she called down to the hospital and the doctor told her no you have to fill them both or Nothing at All I went down to the hospital and talked to them and again they said they will not split the prescription they do not care if I have ibuprofen at home that if I did not feel both of the prescriptions she was not going to get any pain medicine. For those of you that have had a broken leg a Tibial Plateau fracture to be exact you know it is very painful even with the Percocet they gave her at the hospital to relieve the pain she was still in tears when she left. We have to go see a orthopedic doctor and she might have to have surgery but Samantha McLerran MD at Cookeville Regional Medical Center which did not come in to see her by the way only J fixes the PA saw her we never watch Saw Samantha felt that she would be okay without pain medicine she said it was not her problem that we did not have the money for her medicine that she would not change the prescription that she would have to go without pain medicine for her broken leg. So if you have a broken bone and do not have insurance and a low-income I suggest you do not go to Cookeville Regional Medical Center or at least not see Samantha McLerran MD which in fact we did not see either only her PA but if you do expect to go home in pain.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
