Left my hubby in terrible pain after a surgical procedure. He is a soldier but not made of steel, the doctor doesn't care. His staff was shocked and said that procedure is very painful...Really sad actually, just be aware.
He left my husband in terrible pain after a surgical procedure, his staff was shocked. Yes he's a soldier but he's not made of steel. Terrible.
In 2016 Copland did a full ladder surgery where nearly killed me when he od me and then had to quickly do a flush to clear all the medication out I was then there in recovery for hours because all I could do was sleep then memaw asked if she could come back and see me and she was denied because they didn't see her as family and was rude. Lingering affect is that I have had migraine ever since. Has anyone ever considered a class action law suit against Scott a Copeland.
My visit was great from beginning with the front office being so nice, and my visit was right on time. Also, meeting Dr Copeland was a wonderful experience too he is very nice, kind, and knowledgeable. Meeting him made me feel less anxious about my having surgery and after the holidays he will be my surgeon.
I can't go any lower than a one star. He almost killed me, and continuously lied about everything. I had to go through 2 more surgeries before doctor's could figure out that he had removed my common bile duct during gall bladder surgery, and then wait 6 weeks for my body to heal before they could go in and rebuild it. I continue to suffer for what he put me through. Afterwards, I found out that my gallbladder didn't even need to come out. It had improve and was functioning normally. He treats his patients like cattle, he doesn't remember conversations, nor does he look at their file before he cuts on them. At least this was my experience and I have paid dearly for placing my trust in him.
He and his staff are great. I had gallbladder surgery and it was a breeze! It was during COVID 19 so my husband couldn’t come in but Dr Copeland called my husband and his staff called him. Very pleased with his service
This man has got a horrible manner. He seems like he's a knowledgeable man but he talks to people with very little respect. He's very rude when you are just upset and worried about your family member. I understand being a physician has to be very hard but I also know you are working with families in life and death situations so you need to have a little compassion for their situations and treat them like people and not just another case to make your big bucks.
Treats patients as cattle, a product on an assembly line. Doesn't remember important patient conversations, or medical history. Doesn't review files before surgery or after making horrible mistakes. He almost killed me and I live with pain now everyday! I asked to talk with him prior to my surgery to remind him of my specific medical history & was refused & quickly sedated (so fast that I had trouble breathing). Later found out that I didn't even need the surgery. Do not trust!
Performed general vein stripping, button severed my popliteal artery, causing permanent swelling, numbness, and nerve damage. I highly do NOT recommend this doctor.
I have seen reviews where they describe Dr Copeland as rude with no bedside manner, this is my experience at first I thought he was a little rough around the edges in the office but the day of surgery he was the most gentle and calm dr I have ever met I realized right then that the OR is where he belonged thats where he is his best kind of like putting House in the clinic lol he is an amazing surgeon and took the best care of me !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
